Yeah, he has so much damn equipment. I heard he has hundreds of guitar effects pedals. When he first begins to make a tone for the album he narrows it down to about 10-15 pedals and then works from there. It's just too bad a lot of the work, especially the last album, seems to use the same bland, distorted sounds. Only album I was really impressed with the variety of sounds and layers was The Fragile.
