Well, apparently i downloaded a trojan because i get a Nortan message every 5 seconds saying its trying to attack my computer. Luckily access is being deniend.

Im not too good with computers so ive only tried ad-aware and spybot to help get ride of it. Also, ive tried to do a system scan with norton but it doesnt find any threats by the time it gets bogged down with spyware and i have to restart my computer.

So id really appreciate it if you guys could give me some help because this is really pissing me off.

Restart into safe mode and then let Norton try to delete it. Also run your spyware and adware utilities in safe mode.

If you want to avoid virii and ad/spyware, get Firefox and/or Opera. IE is shit. Ever since I started using Firefox my system has been virus free and virtually ad/spyware free.

Actually im using firefox, but i think i used IE to download something a while back. Stupid me

Anyways, how exactly do i run norton and ad-aware in safe mode? I tired to do it on my own but ive only got it to run at the start, when the rest of windows is running. Like i said, im not too good with computers :(

I'm not sure. I use Opera so i clicked on a few of them to open in background and my anti-virus pops up with a message telling me my system has been infected with a Trojan virus.

Possibly the asian prince link in Jill Sandwich's post. A javascript pops up and I stupidly clicked ok. Dumb me!!! I'm assuming that's where the "You are an idiot" page came from. :(

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
