I remember watching the pilot episode with a friend and saw that scene where a surveillance video showed a vampire having sex with a female officer in a really rap and disturbing way.

I nope'd the fuck out and never looked back.

The second season was amazing 10/10 shit though and it starred the woman who played Dr Mossman from Half Life 2 so there's that.

True Blood was one of those shows I really enjoyed in the beginning of it, and then it seemed to get progressively worse over time. A bit like Dexter. Probably went on a little bit too long.

I'd check out a reboot, but It's not one of those shows I was expecting a reboot of so soon. True Blood feels super recent in my mind for some reason, even though it started back in 2008. I don't think it necessarily needs a reboot. It might be good, we'll just have to see.

The worst episode of Buffy is the Christmas one on season 2 where Angel wants to kill himself. It just dragged on and was boring IMO.

You're talking about Amends from Season 3, I think. One of the Boreanaz's better performances on BtVS specifically. Angel's inner struggles are very potent there and David B slayed it. Pun intended.

What would the reboot even be? More Sookie fairy nonsense? The books were based on her right? Or is 'True Blood' as a vampire IP something HBO owns separate from the book (i.e. no Sookie, just generic vamps, werewolves, witches, etc?).

My problem with that show is that eventually everyone had a power, a curse, or some sort of supernatural nonsense.

But it did have some pretty glorious boobage, and brought us this angel...

The first couple seasons were watchable, but it turned to hot garbage pretty quick. Admittingly, I haven't watched it in years, so i wonder how much I would hate it today.
