Truly bizarre Euro Lost promo

I like how it actually gives actual insight into the show itself. Yes there's the obvious set of dance triangles between kate/jack/sawyer and jin/sun/michael, but they also had Locke and Walt conducting, which was interesting, imo.

heh, beat me to it!

Is it from the first season? I mean, did they shoot it while they were working on the pilot?
Why is it not on my 1st season DVDs? I want it!
Oh, and you can never go wrong using Portishead.

It was filmed as a UK season 1 promotion, I'm pretty sure it was made and paid for by Channel 4 specifically for the UK premiere.

If that's the case, hats off to Channel 4.

Is it that common, to do this kind of stuff?

They usually do it when they have a big new US show to promote, they did something similar with Desperate Housewives too.

Sony* has done a few show promotions that I guess they do it for just the network but theyve never done somethign as elaborate as this.

That video was pretty amusing/disturbing.

Sony Entertainment Television is a cable chanel that airs in Latin America and Brasil and has US shows.

The German channel "Pro Sieben" often has self-made commercials for their American shows like Lost, Desperate Housewives or Malcolm in the middle. They are not as cool as the Channel 4 Lost one, though.. Most of the times it's just one of the main actors standing in front of a white background saying "My name is Evangeline Lilly, you're watching Lost on Pro Sieben. We love to entertain you.".

It was directed by David LaChappelle for Channel 4 in the UK, so it's not entirely unsurprising that it's more than a little abstract. There's 2 versions as well, one with Portishead's "Numb" and one with a Cinematic Orchestra track (which I think is better). Both are on his website.
