Apple releases bizarre, otherworldly commercial

Hearing aid feature for the hard of hearing... As a deaf man with a Cochlear Implant, I immediately knew what they were going for.
But would this actually work? I work with several hard of hearing people and I can't imagine that this would actually be able to use this in place of hearing aids.

Honestly, that one isn't so bad. I like this one

Mother who hates her family embraces Apple AI to deal with bothersome children and husband, because fuck them

I was going to create a thread about you, EviLore EviLore , maybe being onto something about me being the only person buying Anime on iTunes and making fun of me for doing so, but since this thread is tangentially related to Apple advertising, here goes: I think I might have broken the advertising algorithm on my LG's Apple TV app by watching too many Japanese movies.

Depends on the level of their hearing. For some it might work, for others it might not. I remember being a kid with hearing aids and they helped up to a point. Then they didn't help as I got older and my hearing became worse.

Over the counter hearing aid technology is a subset of the technology in airpod pros, so yes.

The algo has you dead to rights!

That eye roll at the daughters giving thoughtful gifts to dad. Dislike ratio is deserved.

Almost all AI commercials are infuriating. Why do they keep choosing things that are meant to be heartfelt and personal to use AI to create?

A friend of mine has hearing loss in both ears in both ears but doesn't wear hearing aids. He tried the Airpods Pro 2 hearing aid feature, but for him it has the same problems as regular hearing aids: it makes soft sounds too loud and he hears random noises. From what I understand it can take a long time for the brain to adjust to hearing aids and he doesn't have the patience and inclination: he'd rather hear badly than suffer through a long adjustment period.

If they want to up their stock price, they can start by fixing their ridiculous emojis.

That is one of the worst commercials I've ever seen. Who the hell is apple hiring? If there was more competition in the phone market, I guarantee they'd be getting dragged a lot more than some dislikes

Maybe the the ad is deliberately designed as rage engagement bait? I only read this theory somewhere, I don't subscribe to it a 100% either, but this one ad in particular is juuust over the top enough to make that seem kinda plausible...?

I mean, I kinda thought that with the jaguar thing. Like any news is still news you know? But apple started out with a very specific image in mind, and now it seems to me both companies are throwing their image out the window. Respect is harder to earn, and easy to lose

Who knows how well Airpods helps hearing issues, but a nice family ad.

Much different than usual Apple ads which for decades has either been the Apple vs fat PC guy ad, or it's a very predictable product ad which is a bunch of flashy colours and hip music and then they show the product right in your face on a white back.

Not sure I'm familiar with this concept. Stoic, but loving father? Family celebrating Christmas? What year is it?

The year where companies started going back to what makes them money - normal things. Masterful ad, very similar to this one I think:

Possibly unrelated.....or is it??

Apple knows they are as much a lifestyle brand as a tech brand, and their fingers have been on the pulse of culture for decades. If the culture shifts, they have always turned on a dime, that's how they have been as successful as they have been all these years

As always, if too political, please delete mods

Before you ask WSJ is behind a paywall yes

I hope they do one where a man asks ChatGPT to write romantic marriage vowes the morning of his wedding as he's completely forgotten.

White nuclear family in a Christmas commercial by a notoriously woke company.

Vibes are shifting.

It literally says "Hearing Aid Mode" in the ad while it demonstrates how it works

I don't know how more clear the ad can be about exactly what is being sold or who it's being sold to
Imagine if you will using muffled sounds to sell hearing aids to deaf people. Makes a lot of sense.

The OP ad is about the hearing aid mode for the hard of hearing (HoH). Watch the whole thing and not just the first 20 seconds.
