Going for president is a job interview. How can anyone in their right mind hire trump looking at these interviews?

If you were interviewing trump yourself and you asked him questions and he answered them like that, would you hire him?

Trump is interviewing for President of a large swathe of America's cranky inner toddler.

These are largely people who know there's somehing wrong with America, with politics, with the world. They can't articulate really what, and they don't or won't grasp the nuance and complexity that is life these days. Things "used to be simpler" and they don't want hundreds of pages of policy documenting fixes, they don't want to hear about the complexities of budgets and taxes and international policies. These are all overly complicated, nerdy concepts, and none of their previous votes have succeeded in making the world the simpler place they want.

Trump constantly feeds them reassurances that they're right, the world is wrong, and he'll fix it. No details is a positive, because they're messy and frustrating and people just want somebody to fix it.

Trump isn't going the normal presidential route--he's not trying to win with emotion-tinged policies, he's just trying to ride raw emotion in without policy. He'll Make It Better; any more details than that is scary and shouldn't be mentioned because it requires acknowledging possible obstacles to Making It Better.

Most jobs, the person doing the hiring has either a grasp of what the job does, or is evaluating against a set of metrics created by somebody who does that determine minimum qualification. The average American doesn't really understand how Presidenting works, and the actually job requirements set forth in our laws are pretty low.

People should be allowed to give their opinion. Here on GAF these people (Trumpfans) stay silent. That's a bad thing for a free country like the US

I'm responding to a banned account but this needs to be said: If people are that afraid to defend their opinions to a group of random strangers on the internet, they should probably rethink having those opinions.

They don't dare to admit it because his race baiting/xenophobia/incompetence is undeniable and it reflects poorly on a person to admit they would vote for someone like that.

I also find it amazing that people come up with names like "$hilary" and "Crooked Clinton" but will twist themselves into pretzels to rationalize all of the disgusting things Trump says.

"Trump is not a nice guy, but.."

It's very telling.
All Trump supporters should be banned because I don't see how anyone could honestly support the guy and not be a racist.

I assume all these types of posts are from white guys who guess that they won't be affected.

The Iraq war answer is one of the dumbfounding things I have have seen in my life. Hilarious... Just spellbinding... Like how is this real?

This is hilarious for all the wrong reason, the only thing that make it even more hilarious is that he actually won the republican nomination and that his opponent is Clinton. I wonder if people can vote for a third party candidate in the US that has a real shoot at being president without being a billionaire like Perot in 1992.

Trump: Hillary is bad for voting for iraq war.
Interviewer: But your VP choice also voted for it.
Trump: so?
Interviewer: Well doesn't that make you a hypocrite?
Trump: No. Hillary sucks.
Interviewer: ok.

The whole reason she didn't go in harder is because she didn't need to. They were more than happy to use any rope given to hang themselves in new and creative ways. The best way to take someone down is to just let them do themselves in, you just walk them over to the cliff and coax them into jumping off it. When done right, this is what you get.

Oh god, now I want a "When Louis Met... Donald Trump".

They know its wrong and want to say it anyway. That says a lot to what their character is or lack there of.
