Damn A+ for entertainment value at least. Compared to him the other candidates look like a bunch of school kids. Will be interesting to see how this continues. Starting to think Trump has a chance to actually steal the nomination. In the beginning everyone said he'd lose support once he says something really stupid, but I'm not so sure anymore. If he's still leading in the next poll after the accusations this morning I don't know what WOULD be able to hurt him. Unless he literally murders someone he can start some stupid arguments every single week to stay in everyone's mind and then steal the prelims next year.

GOP needs to reform, Trump leading the polls truly shows how weak they are right now.

Holy shit if Trump leading the polls pull the rest of the candidates even more to the right I'll lose my soul.

Good lord, he is actually a comic book villain at this point. I've never seen anything like this.

Trump isn't to the right of any of the candidates, except maybe Pataki

Of course not by voting record but his stump speeches are very conservative in language in an effort to "tell it like it is". The rest of the GOP candidates may see this and his current vapid successes and attempt to "tell it like it is" even harder than Trump resulting in all of them shifting even more to the right vocally.

It would be amazing.

The debate is real soon. Some of the bottom feeder candidates need to do something crazy in order to get name out there and boost poll numbers in time.

I've been wondering what rock bottom looked like for the Republicans, and I thought we were still a couple election cycles away, but this has me scratching my chin and thinking.

All my conservative friends think trump is a double-agent. I tell them with a big shit-eating grin: "Don't be insane! He's been running on the GOP platform albeit a bit exaggerated." (he really isn't exaggerated though but telling conservatives that gives them some sort of comfort :D )

If he wasn't so bat shit insane against proper things in life, I say vote this man in! If he would push Putin/Jong-Un around like some rag dolls that would be something to see...... ummmm actually he probably would push to get WWIII going before long. I take it all back.

As someone who lives in Wisconsin, I'd rather have Trump than Walker.

Trump would at least be interesting. Walker is milk toast as fuck.

Trump doing god's work.

It'd be amazing if Trump slowly destroyed the other candidates, with the base eating up his attacks because he's "telling it like it is". He's absolutely right with this one.

He's the political equivalent of a meat tenderizer. Whoever the nominee is will be all soft and squishy and bruised by the time they show-up to fight in the general election. Obama was the default candidate in 2012 and defined Romney early so that the voting public never accepted him as an acceptable replacement; this is part of why Obama's lead was rather stable through the course of the campaign.

Trump is laying the groundwork for the same thing to happen in early 2016. This is a gift.
Please, Dear Baby Jesus: let there be huge ratings and spectacular fights for these debates..

That first debate is going to be amazing. And I'm not even sure Rick Perry is going to be able to make it, and think of all the good times he provided 4 years ago. Hopefully Walker's dumb ass makes up for the possible Perry absence.

And then we have Trump just dropping bombs. He's the guy that will play to the crowd, get them energized, and give us some more great tidbits from the minds of the Republican base (i.e. "let him die!")

The Trump train, and by extension the entire GOP presidential process, is the result of the conservative movement embrace the "Fuck you, I've got mine" mentality. Everyone is out for themselves and seemingly don't care how damaging their actions are to doing to the party at large.

The GOP have a severe problem of there nomination process being used by non-serious candidates to boost their cred and name recognition at the expense of the party at large. Democratic candidates also use their nomination process to do the same thing, but it seems that it is a far more severe problem for the GOP in particular.

Yeah he went at him hard:

“Finally, I can attack!” Trump said at a packed rally at Oskaloosa High School. “Wisconsin’s doing terribly. It’s in turmoil. The roads are a disaster because they don’t have any money to rebuild them. They’re borrowing money like crazy. They projected a $1 billion surplus, and it turns out to be a deficit of $2.2 billion. The schools are a disaster. The hospitals and education was a disaster. And he was totally in favor of Common Core!”

oh my god

Well this is one of the few times I'll ever agree with Donald Trump (Wisconsin resident)

Trump is so fucking weird as a candidate. He doesn't feel any need to toe the party line, which means he's free to say things like "not being able to afford to fix the roads in your state is fucking stupid"

Does anyone even know what his policies are?

All I know is that he wants to build a wall.

He wants single payer too.

Single payer actually makes sense for private enterprise as health care cost continue to go up.

Tying insurance to employment was such a silly mistake.
