As others have said, they likely used a lot of celebrities who have been around for a decades as a starting point/reference material for the algorithm(s)/data sets, so it's going to be exceptionally accurate there. It seems like it's pretty solid with general inputs (a lot of "I look like my mom/dad/grandpa/grandma!"), but don't expect them to be as accurate.

I think it depends on if it can cleanly detect the shape of your facial features. If your facial hair interferes with that it just goes to hell, but your face is still well-defined in your picture.
