Twilight Princess playable at San Diego Comic Con

If you live in Southern California and couldn't go to E3, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is playable in Nintendo's booth at the San Diego Comic Con. It appears to be the E3 demo, and is only on two kiosks, but it's there and it's a public event so anyone can go and play it.

The booth also has Batallion Wars and Pokemon XD playable.

If you go, the booth is in the main exhibit hall. Just look for the giant floating Pikachu.

Damn. I would kill to play Twilight Princess. It'd be nice to try out Batallion Wars and XD as well. Comic Con is only about a two hour drive from my house. I may end up going now. At first, my only reason to go would be to see the Red vs. Blue guys and have them sign my DVD's. This changes everything!

I'm going now for sure. I remember I went to the Comic Con in 2001 just to play Oddworld Munch's Oddyse at the Sobe booth. :lol Good memories.

This is some damn good news. Can't wait to play TP.

EDIT: Got a link or anything?

No, but I walked by the booth about 20 times today while a huge crowd watched it being played.

X-Men Legends 2, Ultimate Spider-Man, and Marvel Nemesis are also there along with stuff like Fantastic four and some GBA/DS stuff. Saw a Nintendogs sign in the morning before the kiosks were on, so I don't know if it's playable or not.

Damn it already started. I'm having kind of a busy weeking so I'm gonna try to make it out there(I live in the LA area).

Oh and there are only 2 booths? How long were the lines?

Only 2 Kiosks, and it was preview night so it wasn't as packed as it will be on Saturday but it was pretty crowded for a video game at Comic Con. Normally it's easy to play anything there since people aren't there for that.

Lucasarts also has Battlefront II and Empire at War playable.

I saw that they were giving away a coin shaped thing to whoever played the Zelda demo. Is it a keychain? If so, is it a generic Nintendo keychain or Zelda related? I don't want to wait in line if it isn't Zelda related!

Only 2 kiosks at a convention more nerdier than E3? Chaos will ensue!

Comic Con > E3 simply because it hasn't whored itself out as much as E3 has.

Oh and Marvel Nemesis looks like dog shit.

Empire at War looks decent.

Ultimate Spidey is fucking awesome.

Curse this broken arm of mine.

I feel your pain brother. I broke my right thumb three weeks ago and I still can't game. The only thing I can play is Kirby: Canvas Curse and I'm starting to get sick of it. Only one more medal to go, though. Paint Panic.

theyhad like 30 kiosks at E3 and got a 3-5 hour line. They have 2 at SDCC. Take Pictures

I only waited about 15 minutes to play it today. No massive lines. Again, people aren't there to play Zelda.

Indeed. SO WHAT DID YOU GET FOR PLAYING???

Anyway, there are quite a few other video game booths throughout the convention and Zelda's the busiest game there. Every other game throughout the convention has about one person playing and no lines.
Not that this is a big deal anyway, considering the same thing happened last year with Resident Evil 4. Busiest game at the convention and look at it's "good" (IT DESERVES BETTER!) sales. =\

Zelda's also going to be playable at the Edinburgh Interactive Entertainment Festival this August in the UK, along with Mario Kart DS, New Super Mario Brothers, Viewtiful Joe DS and Sonic Rush.

Zelda, Pokemon XD, Super Mario Strikers, Mario Kart DS and New Super Mario Bros will also be demo-ing in the UK on the Nintendo Allstars '05 tour - go to www.game.net/allstars for details.

Some of these games will also be newer versions (ie updates since E3)....................
