Twinkle star sprites is getting a sequel

sprsk

force push the doodoo rock
I saw it in video form at e3 and nearly jizzed my pants. It was on a very small screen on the show floor and i doubt many people stopped to look at it :(

So hopefully this thread will get the twinkle fans out of hte wood works and we can start finding info on this game.

edit: it appears to be a ps2 game

Is it a sequel or the enhanced PS2 port (La Petite Princesse)? I'm hoping it gets an Xbox port so I can play it. :)

Knowing my luck, it'll only be released on Xbox over here. As soon as i get rid of mine, SNK games start coming out for it.

Unless you want to import, you'll really need an Xbox for about any 2D SNK games now. So far there's...

-Metal Slug 3
-SVC Chaos: SNK Vs Capcom
-The King of Fighters '94 ReBout
-Samurai Showdown V
-The King of Fighters NeoWave

...for US Xbox exclusives, plus Xbox has the only online enabled versions of KOF 2002/2003, KOF Millenium Impact and Metal Slug 4/5. And with NeoWave being shot down by SCEA, you can bet future AtomisWave ports like NeoGeo Battle Coliseum, KOF XI, Samurai Showdown Tenku and Metal Slug 6 will be Xbox exclusive here as well. Plus it looks like Xbox is getting all the "exclusive" PS2 games anyway eventually, with stuff like KOF MI and KOF 94RB getting ports.

KOF MI was terrible. Same goes for SvC:Chaos.

I really don't want to buy another Xbox at this point, so i'm going to hold off and (1) see what the compatibility situation with these games and X360 is and (2) hope that SCEA relaxes a bit after the PS3 releases.

Sure, I'm just saying it doesn't look good. Then again, maybe SCEA won't give a shit after PS3 releases (similar to PSone after PS2 launch, almost anything would get approved). You could always mod your PS2 and pick up the JP or EU releases though.

I'm probably going to get a slide-card for NxC and Mushehimesama. Win on all counts.

The first one is one of my favorite multiplayer games, I could play it forever.

Don't get excited over nothing. It's not a sequel; TSS on PS2 is a port, likely of the Dreamcast version, with a few new extras IIRC.

Anyway, if you're into SNK games, having a Japanese or modded PS2 is the best way to go. The XBox ports take FAR too long to come out (KOF 2003 has yet to be released and Neowave is coming out for PS2 in a month), and not all the titles make it out here.

BTW, they changed the visuals for KOF 2002 on Xbox. The backgrounds are now darker and lacking in color, making them appear very dull now. :/ The character sprites don't stand out as much against them because of this, but it doesn't look as good as the PS2 version. I hope they leave KOF 2003 alone. They did add a color edit for the sprites, however, which is always nice since you can touch up the colors and make them look brighter.

Yeah, the game is entirely in 3D with new characters and a new art style. They might indeed have the original hidden away on there somewhere (which would be much appreciated, as it has a habit of becoming a collector's item on any platform), but La Petite Princesse is something entirely (or mostly) new.

The Dreamcast version was actually three different versions. The Arcade, the Saturn, and the new Dreamcast version. Each had the appropriate amount of slowdown for the system it was ported from. :D

I asked friend of mine who was the proud owner of the MVS version (along with a 2 slot cab) why no one ever used the power shot, and the answer of course was that it didn't cause enough slow down. :)

EDIT; =P A solid framerate would fundementally change the way the game is played. Boo to that. The straight arcade version had better be included.

There was a DC version? How do i have practically every other DC game and not this!

This is an outrage!

I agree, the slowdowns helps you to avoid most of the attacks

Guess you guys would just have to play the game the way it was meant to be played, then. :D
