Amy left the show near the end of season three. I think she just got tired of the work, which was gruelling.

Scorpina's counterpart never upped and left in Zyuranger. She was sealed in the finale along with every other villain after the final battle.
It's just in MMPR that they used footage of her from Zyuranger on the show, dubbed over her, used her briefly and then had her mysteriously disappear only to randomly re-appear and disappear once again in the second season with an American actress this time.

If you want proper ranger couples, go watch Ninja Steel. The highlight of that season is the current couple.

Watch how a show like Avatar or Gravity Falls writes kids/teens, and then see this... it's a helluva difference.
