And it can be yours for $200+

Pre-ordered as well. Can't wait. Good times were had with the original. Was off school sick after an op so I was jamming with this beast (except this one is miles better in build quality).

Well, I can get some work done if they replay the episode at least.

Twitch kind of shooting themselves in the foot here. They lose a bunch of viewers whenever this happens.

I have an honest, non-troll question... To those of you that kept watching past childhood, what keeps you watching? I watched the first 2 seasons as a kid but stopped after that. Rewatching these on Twitch made me realize how dated and thrown together these episodes are. Does the show get better later? What is it that keeps people unironically watching as adults? Nostalgia? Always wanted to know.

I was a kid and I was around 5 when the series started so I kept watching purely on the fact that I was a kid. As a kid, you don't notice plot points, writing and character development as well as you do as an adult. I stayed with the series up to Lost Galaxy initially and a lot of my enjoyment revolved around wrestling as well. Basically it was like this for me.

MMPR S1-S3 -
Stayed all the way, loved it
Zeo - Loved it
Turbo - It was ok
Space - Loved it
Galaxy - Ok, Attitude Era was in full swing by this point so I was mostly into wrestling here
Lightspeed - Didn't watch much
Time Force - Didn't watch much
Wild Force - Loved it for some reason, 2002, Ruthless Aggression era so that can explain why
Ninja Storm - Loved it
Dino Thunder - Loved it
SPD - Current - Graduated high school and started working, other things took priority, grew out of it

$300.................

Soul of Chogokin stuff is usually expensive. I think it varies based on product specs, and well, IP. The Hulk Buster was around the same price, for example. It's my only SoC I have but the build of it was bloody good! Excellent quality, quality paint work. Hefty. I imagine this will be of similar quality - die-cast parts etc.

^Yeah, you've missed the boat on the Figuarts. They're expensive for either the US or Japanese versions. Yellow Ranger might be the only okay priced one. Pink is $200 (and the only one I'm still after!)

Alphaaaaaa

I watched up to Dino Thunder (and caught some of Mystic Force and Jungle Fury), and I can say it gets much better and cleaner after MMPR. Sometimes seasons can have some really great story, characters, or plot motions, and often the martial arts and action is pretty fun in a predictable power-trip/growth kinda way. There's also an element of nostalgia and legacy through sticking with it, but overall I think it's really entertaining when it's on point, and at worst is just campy "going-through-the-motions" shows that can usually be fun to pick on. Crossovers are also the best thing.

The only reason I really stopped watching was because they kept swapping up schedules for when it aired and I eventually started working on weekends
as well as those two series I mentioned not really holding my interest
. I can't say I plan to catch up with everything I missed in this marathon or watch any new series they plan to air on TV (or watch the new movie), but at the very least it's been interesting seeing what I can again.

EDIT: Also mechs. I love mechs to death.

Part of the reason the leader of "Alien Rangers" is a woman is that in the respective Sentai, Kakuranger, Ninja White, Tsuruhime, was the de-facto leader of the team (although Red was still in the forefront for marketing and posing and all those things). Despite only being 15-16 in the show (and played by a 14-years-old actress), she was the most serious and caring member of the team. Tsuruhime was pretty cool.
