Wait I looked down and they were able to go to the pc and successfully deposit ace in anarchy? That's nuts! Now they need to buy lots and lots of pokeballs.

So agree. I don't know whether he had the Exp Share or not, but he was about to learn Super Fang in half a level. We should have a Pokemon who has been through hell (ie the E4) with us to face Red together. Not some random caught in the cave. If we can even manage that for our 6th.

Ozzy will be useless. The window for him to learn new moves has passed. We will have a Metapod with Tackle, Harden, and String Shot. To evolve into a Butterfree that cannot learn any of Butterfree's moves.

I've read on multiple sites that the pokemon automatically learn new moves with their levels. Does metapod not learn anything after those 3 moves?
Edit: It really sucks that Nintendo refuses to release the old Pokemon games on VC. I've never played one and would love to start with the old ones before jumping in to X/Y.
No. In fact the only move Metapod learns is Harden. Tackle and String Shot were from when Ozzy was a Caterpie.
Now that we have an open slot I kind of want us to get a guitar bear. If the stream's coordinated enough we might decide to fly somewhere else to buy pokeballs after this next attempt fails.

Even if we had a Butterfree with good moves, the best Butterfree has is Gust (outclassed by Brian's Fly) and Psybeam (outclassed by Espeon's Psychic). However, Butterfree can learn Giga Drain, a TM we have which would be useful. But all in all, not worth a trip back to the day care imo.

Ah I see. Well then yeah, I'd rather just get a new pokemon because I have no real attachment to the nameless zubat in our daycare. It's a shame that the pokemon don't also auto-evolve in daycare, but I guess that's a bit TOO easy. Are there no pokemon ball sellers near mt. silver?
with a hacking tool, there are many hacking tools for edit gameboy pokemons easily

So is the plan to raise a Tyranitar? That's what I would do.
Edit: last 6 moves it learns are Rock Slide, Thrash, Scary Face, Crunch, Earthquake, and Hyper Beam. Would be pretty tough to mess that up.

Larvitar's at a ridiculously low level and takes forever to level up. It's not gonna happen.
Ursaring's a generic powerhouse, but has comedy value with its sprite.
Golbat sucks until it evolves, and it's weak to Electric attacks.
Magmar gives us a fire type and comedy value with the tits on its head.
Graveler evolves into Golem and counters Battery Jesus. However, we might end up accidentally using Explosion...
Onix evolves into Steelix, but another Steelix would be kinda boring.
I vote Graveler, if only for the comedy value of Explosion.

Last thing I see before the internet gets shut off was us losing to Silver in Ecruteak. Finally get it back on and see that we've actually battled Red a few times. Honestly did not expect that.

We had a horrid Will fight after multiple Espeon Bite seeps with him, but we somehw got by with our team severly weakened. Espeon psychic sweeped Koga. Steelix would work too. Then Espeon would've done the same to Bruno, but he ran out pf pp taking out half his team. Overall semi-difficult time with KAren using all team members, and I think LAzrGAtr used icy wind's speed drops to conter that destiny bond+curse troll known as Gengar. Then Lance was well, Lance.
Oh, Bria also sweeped half of Bruno too iirc
Explosion might be useful if we actually hold off using it until we get to Zapdos.
That's a big "if" though...
