I just threw this together over an hour a while back, had never touched Python, so just wanted to see what it can do.
I wrote it for my Raspberry Pi to run at startup and it works pretty well when using OMXPlayer, but of course you can just configure it to use any player.
Linux only right now, but should be fairly easy to get a Windows batch file to do the same thing as stream.sh.
