Two DS units on one Router at the same time? Help :(

Dunno if it has been asked before.. I did a search both here and on google, but still no solution. And NintendoWiFi.com is not helping much either..

Here's the problem a friend and I have. My friend has a Red MK/DS pack (US) as a Xmas gift for his girlfriend. He also has a DS..

We've tried setting up both DS systems (with Mario Kart) on one Access Point (Linksys WAP54G). They just don't connect at the same time. If we try them both separately it works, but simultaneous it doesn't.

We've tried setting up both DS' with different IP's but still a no show. What are we doing wrong? Are there some settings we forgot and has anyone here been confronted with the same problem?

Hope you can help us out, pretty please with a cherry on top and all that :)

If you need more info before you can help, just shout

in theory, if you've assigned both DS's separate IP addresses, and they can both connect separately, then I don't think there's much you can do at your end.

Its possible that its a Nintendo server problem. It'll see your DS coming from your internet IP address. So it may not be able to handle two coming from what it sees as the same IP address.

I connected up to three DS at the same time to my AVM wireless router and we all pleyed online at the same time with no problem.

It couldn't hurt to switch to DHCP for a test run!
