What I found interesting was the gap between PS and Xbox. It went from 12% in Q4 2019-20 to 4% in Q4 2020-21 despite having an around 2:1 install base.

These numbers are far better than the splits we saw in UK recently. Those Q4 numbers are very impressive. That means Watch Dogs, Ass Creed and Fenyx Rising all sold pretty much evenly across both platforms despite the massive difference in install bases.

My guess would be the shrinking PC share is because of the new consoles. I can't see them abandoning Steam having a large effect when that was already well underway in Q4 2019.

I guess their games just appeal more to the Xbox demographic ?

20-ish for Xbox was the usual split for basically the whole generation. 16% for last year was really bad, probably due to One fatigue or something I'm missing.
PlayStation split used to be near 40-ish, but in the last few years they lost something.

Ubi is also focusing more on free-to-play games rather than AAA. Makes you wonder why a gaming subscription would light the world on fire when most of the popular titles will be free-to-play in the future?

Doesnt one of those gaming subscriptions give you discount on mtx/dlc?
