Ubisoft has just confirmed that the "first Call Of Duty" will not reach streaming services until at least February 2025.

Ubisoft own the streaming rights. CoD will not stream on Gamepass xcloud, Geforce Now, or any other streaming service until 2025.

People might play the campaigns via streaming but I cannot imagine anybody playing competitive multiplayer via streaming. It would be completely absurd. Who would they be playing against? Native players? That would be bad. Other streaming players? That might be worse.

Ok. Does anyone actually give a shit about streaming? Like, are there people who only play games that way? If yes, I weep for them.

Ojalá vivir en Mallorca, buenas calas y mejores chiquejas.

The news are a bit confusing tho. They seem to mean the "first COD games to go on stream" and not the original COD games, which imo are the best campaigns.

The don't go on sale often which is sad too, wish I could replay 1 + United Offensive without having to pay a lot of money, loved those games when they came out.

I do sometimes. I have a PC and Xbox (switch too), but if I'm playing I'm in another room I will steam. Also when I visit a friend we will stream.

It works pretty good for those situations, bit doesn't replace native. Also, I probably wouldn't play COD streaming.

Why would you want to stream Call of Duty?
I'm a huge proponent of cloud streaming and the only reason I can think of doing this would be to play a solo campaign or a co-op missions stuff you will get your ass handed to you on cloud unless everyone else is using it also

CoD is coming to game pass so it's not exclusive to Ubi+ I think.

Was the MS deal with Ubi for the next 15 years, granting the global rights to stream current and upcoming games till that period ends, monetary, like in some billions of dollars/revenue sharing from subs of Ubi+?

They wouldn't have done otherwise, right? Even if it was to please the FTC and other regulatory bodies by saying "Hey look! We're not making Acti games streaming exclusive to Xbox Cloud only!"
