CEO Yves Guillemot: "Other publishers buy companies, we try to build things"
I used to love Red Storm, I wonder what happened to them.
Yep. Just like we like 30fps creative choices now.Oh, we like Ubisoft now?
Ubisoft's live-service and mobile games aren't quite at the same level, and it doesn't have the capital to simply buy itself a Zynga or a King.
If by 'build things', he means building the same type of structure over and over again, but with a different coat of paint, then yes, I agree.
You are right. Microsoft is trying to buy Activision"try" being the keyword here.
It’s such a shame. That studio arguably invented the tactical shooter genre…Apparently, they're working on Heartland. That Division spin-off. Also doing Assassin's Creed Nexus VR for Quest 2.
Oh, we like Ubisoft now?
I love that the creator of the "Ubisoft Game" is firing shots at Sony and Microsoft. Companies with dev teams that actually create some really original stuff.
My friend if you don't like Sony strategy i advice selling your Ps5.I am not a fan of Sony and MS buying shit up left and right so im with this guy.
You make do with what you have. Scooping up developers just to keep them off other platforms is dumb.
Sony spent $3.2 billion on Bungie and forgot that they had single player studios who needed some bodies.
Activision Blizzard right now:other publishers dont sexually harass their employees
Yup, they recently resisted and rejected a hostile takeover but sharks smell the blood in the water, tencent specifically is circling around them so hopefully they turn things around.Ubisoft will get swallowed sooner or later. If it's not Microsoft then it's the Saudis or the Chinese. They may be trying, but they're failing in the recent years and now switching more attention to mobile & f2p won't get them many new fans.
