I've only played the demo (and not extensively), but the game seemed very smooth. The art style of the game coupled with the animation made it look great!

It was called an Evil Eye in Dragon Quest IV. Haven't played a DQ since IV, and DQIV is my favorite game of all time. This game sure is going to bring back alot of meories.

Yeah, that was the one thing that annoyed me. BIG TIME.

Several of the monsters in the demo have names different from the older games. She-Slimes (Red Slimes), Winky, and I think babbles were called bubble slimes. It's a bit anal, but I was put off by those.

Oh...and item names were changed, too. And spell names (most spells, actually).

Garghhhhhh, I hope they go back to the traditional names.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one upset about the name changes.

The spell names are really bad, too. I can't remember them off the top of my head, but a ton of them (Blaze, upper, increase, infernos, etc.) were changed.

Yeah, the name changes are baffling in a lot of cases. If it helps increase the popularity of DQ in the US and get some sales, I can see why they'd do it though. I just finished DQ 4, now I just need to get through 5, 6, and 7 in less than a month. Not gonna happen. :lol
