Anybody know if you can play NTSC games in Pro Scan with Freeloader and some component cables? I've got the digital A/V out on my launch day cube, but putting some money down on component cables isn't looking like the cheapest thing in the world.

I imported Resident Evil 4 among many other games and I'd love to see them look their best.

I think the digital out on PAL cubes were disabled weren't they?

On later PAL Cubes, the "digital" out has been removed completely.

On the earlier ones that have it, progscan works just fine with an imported component cables and Freeloaded US/Jap games. The hardware function wasn't disabled, it was just removed from the PAL games and replaced with the PAL-60 selection.

Just get a compatible game + component cable, Freeload, hold B on boot-up, select progscan and there you go.

I think they just yank the option out of PAL software and put PAL60 in instead.
