UK Chart -Metroid Prime bomb

Wrong, UK is #1 with about a third of the complete european market. Germany is far away with about half the UK revenue.

I really doubt that. Germany have more people than the UK but only half the revenue? I doubt the UK is 1/3 of the Eu market also. 1/5 perhaps.

I don't remember the source (I think it was GfK), but about a year and a half ago there were numbers released and in 2002 UK was clear #1 videogame market by far. Germany was second, France third, Skandinavia and so on. Italy was pretty far away from the top positions.

But it may well be that that statistic covered only the console gaming market. I just can't remember exactly.

Really? There's only about 25 million people in all four Scandinavian countries... thet's far from France's 60 million.

Germany is #1 for PC gaming. UK is 1# for console gaming. They both are 2nd in the visa versa but I strongly doubt about the UK taking 1/3 market share.

To keep in relation to this discussion my previous statement would be naturally assumed as in referment to console gaming so in that respect I am wrong.

In regads to the figures below though:

PS2:7 million
Xbox:1.5 million
Gamecube:1 million

They are DEFINITELY wrong.

Anyhow let's stay on track with the discussion which is about Nintendo UK and Metroid Prime 2 unless someone got something good to add in respect to numbers.

Metroid always bombs in Europe. Super Metroid bombed, Metroid Prime was a one week wonder in a slow part of the year.

I can see a lot of those Xbox PES4s being returned if Konami don't do something about the client side lag QUICKLY. YES I AM A POOR LOSER :) But seriously, I planned to spend all night on PES4 online, managed two games as client and both times it was ridiculously difficult to defend. A bit of lag is a killer in PES4, especially when you're trying to jocky Henry, all of a sudden it looks like he's teleported past the centre-halve you have marking him! Just gave up and played Halo 2 instead :P

Yes. PSP will outsell GBASP in the UK. DS will bomb here. It is fact. I talked to a GAME person yesterday he said they sell 4 times as many Xbox's than GBA's on a bad Xbox day.

That's a bit hard to believe

I live in Scotland & got the game for my birthday on Sunday. All my mates asked me what I was getting and when I mentioned Metroid Prime 2 NONE of them had a clue what I was talking about. They all own PS2's. They know about Halo2 but I dont think they know what a gamecube is either :( Well im 12% in and quite enjoying it.

In the Netherlands sells the gamecube good i think , there's one PS2 gaming site , 2 Xbox sites and more then 5 Gamecube sites over here .All multyplatform gaming sites are also full with N-fans .
