As we wrapped up Wonder Woman 1984 a few nights back, I was left with a few unanswered questions:
What happened to Wiig’s character after she was merely stunned by 700,000 volts? When she renounced, why wasn’t she naked?
Also, what happened to Pine’s husk’s consciousness when his body was commandeered?

Also in Cabin Boy,
how was Chris Elliot able to satisfy the blue woman when her husband was a giant Cyclopes? It must’ve been like throwing a Vienna sausage into the Grand Canyon.

Soul theory is too on-the-money to be wrong, in my eyes. Even just in the way that the characters react to it. Nobody gawks like that and says "is that what I think it is? it's beautiful" about something as mundane as a load of gold. Oh, and the fact that it literally glows.

Pulp Fiction and the "briefcase" is so neatly done, i love it!

666 as a combination that you don't think to much of at first, marcellus's bandaid on the back of the neck due to his soul being removed, the rant about divine intervention and the shootout, probably a few other things i can't remember.

Such a great movie!

Might have made more sense if Cheetah had slept through the denouement and thus never renounced. I didn’t get the impression that absolutely everyone had to renounce his wish (Max Lord could live with a minor sniffle).

Edit: to be fair, we don’t know that Cheetah did renounce. We saw her restored as Barbara, but that could be a werewolf effect going on as much as anything.

Edit again: it seems the ambiguity was intended.

We don't know if Wiigs character did renounce her wish, I don't remember hearing her actually say it. I guess she'll appear 30 years later in WW3 with the ability to change back and forth between her forms.

In WW84, was "just a trash can" really just a trash can? Someone else is clearly shown taking a photo of it a few seconds prior.

Childs is infected in my opinion. He's wearing a different color coat, there's also an interesting camera tracking shot where Childs isn't at his post at the door, the camera briefly pans to look down some stairs, I believe he's being taken over down those stairs. It makes perfect sense, the creature is ready for a big showdown with MacReady, why not have a pawn off the table during that just in case? Have Childs run out into the night, pretend he saw Blair and went chasing him. In the original script after Mac offers Childs the drink and he takes it and drinks it Mac knows he's the thing because they weren't sharing drinks/food/etc, he torches him but Carpenter preferred it be more ambiguous
.

There was never any indication of how the Cloverfield monster came about? It just arrived?

I liked the concept of Cloverfield and 10 Cloverfield Lane a lot

Still trying to figure out what happened in Inception tbh

The Lighthouse was kind of confusing too. Love that film. Never came to a conclusion. Some were thinking one thing, but I had a different idea of what was taking place. Definitely going to revisit The Lighthouse one day, that is an excellent film

What was in the briefcase made me think of Ronin and not Pulp Fiction.

And it is fun to see people asking about The Thing, for me it was always obvious that both of them were infected in the end. "Lets just wait for a while and see what happens" is not what two humans would have said since they are doomed to freeze to death. But The Thing would just thaw out and continue to infect people. Hence "lets just wait".

Yes and No, the ectoplasm goes on to form new blowjob ghosts such as slimer, so slimer is actually made out of Dan Akroyds man chowder thats why he can be seen stuffing his mouth full of hot dogs at the end

I’ll have to watch it again and pay more attention. I remember the party, and then everything else but I cannot remember any ocean unless maybe it was at the end?
