I dont really think Annie is underrated. She got a recent NYT article on her about how it was still cool and okay for indie kids to like her haha. Regardless, she rocks too -- Heartbeat is second only to Talk for me (outside of oasis) for most listened to songs in the past month.

I still think she gets tossed in that "throw away popstar can". Alot of its because the first song they hear from her is Chewing Gum which clearly isn't one of the better tracks on Anniemal (atleast not imo). Heartbeat, Me Plus One, and The Greatest Hit are f'ckin genius.

That new Rachel Stevens song (So Good) is pretty decent. Sounds alot like something Kylie would do. The dancing in the video is even really similar to Kylie's Love at First Sight dancing.

I don't consider her a real pop star. A large part of her fanbase are dance and indie fans. The few people I know who've heard "Chewing Gum" and nothing else at least saw her on that level, and not something like Hillary Duff. Plus, her album only came out domestically a week ago. So, I guess we'll wait and see how it does with radio play and mainstream fans (nothing, which is why she's not a pop star).
