(That show will be PACKED, though. Magneta Lane is getting mighty good buzz.)

i got a hold of the Magneta Lane EP, they rock. most of these bands arent swinging by NYC anytime soon. i'd love to catch metric.

WTF...how the hell could you forget about my girl Ivana Santilli???

Santilli (along with Brassmunk, Saukrates and Esthero) are performing at the Opera House next week (January 20th) as part of a tsunami victims relief benefit. Was fortunate enough to see her live for free a few months ago, and she was simply outstanding.

Outside of that I'm just waiting for Shawn Hewitt (old high school friend) to hold another gig. And of course I'm waiting for U2 to get their delayed tour dates announced, a group I've yet to see live. I went to three terrific concerts last year (Rush, Santilli and Hewitt), which for me is an avalanche...hoping to see four or five gigs this year.

bright eyes, metric, and possibly T&S.

Didn't like her in Bass is Base and I don't like her solo stuff. She's a looker tho. :P

......well, at least we agree on something. :lol

I'm amazed at how vibrant the concert scene is in this city. I think Matt Good held at least two shows here, and I didn't know about the second one until it was already done. And JackSoul did a free gig about a month ago, which I'm also ticked about missing. I need to read the concert sheets more.

Me am going to this:

In an effort to help victims of the devastating tsunami disaster, TENACIOUS D and friends BECK, WILL FERRELL, DAVE GROHL, JOSH HOMME and EDDIE VEDDER will join for one very special night of music and comedy to benefit MUSIC FOR RELIEF. Go to www.musicforrelief.org to learn more about this partnership of musicians, fans and the American Red Cross.

Bday present to myself. Best present ever!

Next Thursday (20th January) I shall be seeing The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs AND Bloc Party all in one amazing evening. I am moist with anticipation.

Closest event upcoming for me would be Big Day Out(Feb 6th) Which has quite a few groups and bands i'm looking forward to, like Carl Cox, The Streets, Beastie Boys, System of a Down, Freestylers, Chemical Brothers and maybe Slipknot. Although most of those clash some way or another so its kind of annoying.

After that would be Two Tribes (March 6th) Which has Prodigy, Grandmaster Flash, DJ Hyper Signum and Rank 1.

Metric's actually playing 3 nights in a row but I'll be damned if I'm going to be caught at an all-ages show. :P

Ska is Dead II Tour hits Tallahassee on Feb 23rd. I'm going. Bands include: The Know How, Voodoo Glow Skulls, MU 330, and Streeight Manifesto.

Robert Plant is coming to OKC and Tulsa in March, but tickets are $48+processing :/

Not too sure if I want to go THAT badly, it's not Led Zeppelin, just their frontman who can't wail like he used to.

Where are they playing? I'm so out of the concert scene here in T.O it's ridiculous.

I am going to a K-OS show here on Campus on friday.

Cool...that's another artist I'd like to see who I missed when he swung through here, though I did see him at Shawn's concert.

Actually, I just found out that Randy Newman is playing with an orchestra in Long Beach in mid-February. I might have to check that out...

I didn't get to see Slipknot last Sunday in Mississauga, so that's off my list.

I'm not even sure who's playing soon. I kind of want to go to the Taste of Chaos Tour for a few of the bands, and I really want Slipknot's Subliminal Verses tour to come to the Toronto area so I can see them. I haven't seen them since August, in Ottawa.

The last concert I was at, though, was Satyricon (with Joey Jordison on drums) in Toronto about halfway through December. Amazing.

I desperately want to see The Futureheads next month, but it's 19+.

I might go to that all-ages Metric show that was mentioned. It seems like the only non-shitty band coming up that I could see.

Seattle area.

2/11/05 -- Bright Eyes and Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter. Paramount Theater.
3/18/05 -- Decemberists and Okkervil River. Showbox.
3/26/05 -- Bloc Party. Neumos (although I may just end up going to the free instore performance and signing at Easy Street earlier in the day instead)
4/2/05 -- Stars and Apostle Hustle. Neumos.

Fuck each and every one of you in Seattle.

And you're moving onto my list, too, Toronto. Don't let the fact that I led your Argos to the grey cup with my tag o' luck here fool you, I'm out for blood.

I bolded the ones I'm seriously thinking about attending.

Edit: Yeah and Nookicky in NYC with Jim. Plus, I think we'll be walking around NYC with the band on the 6th. Fuckin' jazzed.
