Upcoming PSP games?

I'd say wait for E3, a few SCE executives (and people on the official blog) have hinted that more big productions like GOW and FF7CC are in development and japanese developers are ramping up their support for the system after the success of the Slim model.

In the US? Not much. Valhalla Knights 2 and Midnight Club are all I'm looking forward to besides what you mentioned.

Yeah, we need announcements

Just realized how lame even the photoshop work is. Look at the PSP icon on the top-left corner, what the heck is it? :lol

I am actually listing my PSP on Ebay tonight; for this reason. There just isn't anything coming down the road I am personally interested in. I tried to hang on as long as I could, but I think its time to say goodbye to the PSP. ;_;

I can't say that I blame you, but considering the success the Slim has had recently, I would be surprised if there weren't quite a few games that are announced at E3. Of course, you could always buy another one when that time comes...

I just don't see that happening, unfortunately. While the slim is on fire in Japan, it doesn't seem to be selling that much better than the fat in the US. That is solid, but not spectacular.

For me, since I beat GoW and FFVII: CC it's turned into a portable emulator machine where I can play all my old SNES/Genesis/NES/SCUMM games. It's worth it just for that in my opinion.

This is really sad because the hardware is great and so is the installed base as tons of hardware has been, and still is being, sold. PSP development costs are much higher than DS, but at least the lower cost of the UMD discs help offset it compared to the high cost of DS cartridges.

Why are the software sales so low compared to the installed base? Is rampant piracy really the main reason behind it? I've heard people say before that PSP games cost too much, but given the quality of a $40 PSP game versus a $30 DS game I think they seem pretty fair.

So we're getting a bajillion MH clones then?

Wow it is really looking incredibly bleak, isn't it? Do you think they are working on a PSP2 at this point, or are they just going to let PSP die? The homebrew stuff clearly killed the platform, and in all honesty they should just put out a new system now with rock solid anti-piracy measures in place. Or maybe they just treat the PSP as a multi media device from here on out with a few games coming out every once in a while.

It seems pretty clear that 3rd parties have given up on PSP and would rather not put games out on the system than to have their games pirated. Why put games on PSP when they can put them on platforms with better anti piracy measures in place? There are what 32 million PSP's out there and they can't even manage to make a great game like God of War sell all that well. That tells you how bad the piracy is on the system.

E3 is in only six weeks. If there are big announcements, they'll occur there. Just wait, and if nothing worthwhile is announced then you should sell.
