Upcoming Vita Games (200+ Upcoming games in ENGLISH) || 2016 Edition ||

OMG OMG OMG...

I just found this store J & L Games in NYC that carries English, Japanese imports (with English subs) and Asian imports of Vita games. I saw Tales of Innocence R and geeked out a little... I think my coworker on the trip with me wanted to kick me, lol.

A couple pics:

I wish there was a store like this close to my home!

This is daylight robbery.

It doesn't even include taxes...

I seem to remember Videogamesnewyork being cheaper.

Also got Danganronpa 2 early thanks to them

I'm gonna be asking the important question now; what's that a picture of in the top right of the first pic?

Valkyria Revolution is coming west

Digitally for Vita, physically for PS4 and Xbox One (lol)

I willing to bet more Vita owners would have purchased the game physically than Xbox One owners will buy it. :(

Seems to be a promotional booklet that comes with the game Uppers:

Hey Shiz, this is the store you complained I didn't take pics of earlier this year!

Beautiful place, but damn those prices. So I left empty handed (the missus got a pretty P4D pouch though).

J&L was cheaper in their Chinatown years. James and Games NYC was THE place to buy imports in the late 90s.

2064: Read Only Memories is delayed to TBA for Vita because they're having trouble getting it running. Wasn't this an Ouya game?

http://gematsu.com/2016/12/valkyria...hes-december-22-ps4-japan-december-26-ps-vita

We'll be able to see how Valkyria runs on Vita on December 26th, demo coming.

And here's a strange one - shipments for KanColle Kai will stop completely (as well as it being removed from the PS Store) in January. So if you're thinking of importing, now is the time:

Ah yes, the measurements book... totally fitting as a bonus item, and includes the soundtrack CDs in the back. I wonder how much they're charging. haha

Im sad the copy I was gifted doesnt have that booklet adn the OSTs :( But oh well its still a gift.

Came here to post this.

This comes off to me as really weird and suspicious. Doesn't Kadokawa own KanColle? I don't think it's a licensing issue.

It's very rare for companies to take off their games from PSN. Much less one that just released recently.

The only decent reason I think they'll do this is if they're porting KanColle proper to Vita/PS4 and they don't want people to buy this so they'll get addicted and pour their money there instead.

I was actually planning to play this one to play it someday since this reviewed well enough.

I was planning on importing it one day and struggling with my limited Japanese; google translate and the KanColle wiki. It's now put a time limit on that which is a bit of a bummer.

I've never seen a game disappear from PSN so quickly, it is very strange.

Falcom just tweeted this: https://twitter.com/i/web/status/809368616655208448

I guess Ys Origin is being released on Vita in Japan after all (they're advertising the soundtrack's availability on Amazon ahead of the PS launch)? Their PR still only says PS4, though.

I think the Vita port of that Michael Jackon game got delisted from PSN pretty quickly. Konami also removed Nisekoi from JPSN within a year, which IIRC annoyed people since there was some story DLC that died with it.

Maybe Sega got the console license and plans on porting the arcade game
to platforms irrelevant to this thread.

I finished the first review I've written for my own site in a while (aside from LEGO Marvel) and it's Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. Force:

https://kresnik258gaming.wordpress.com/2016/12/15/vita-mobile-suit-gundam-extreme-vs-force-review/

Spoiler version - I friggin' loved it. I'm sure it spits in the face of the franchise and controls like crap and lacks content and everything else that the Japanese gamers moaned about, but I found it fast-paced fun and force mode was literally perfect. I feel like it was designed exactly for me since it's the exact kind of thing I love in an action-shooter (capturing bases and gathering resources).

More in the review. But tl;dr - it's great, check it out.

Whoever runs Smyths (UK retailer) Twitter has said they're not getting any more stock of the Vita LEGO bundle:

https://twitter.com/AskSmythsToys/status/809336180328251392

Could just be new bundle incoming; no bundle; or they could simply be talking about not getting stock before Christmas, but it doesn't paint a pretty sign. Can't buy a new Vita anywhere in UK atm.

itssomething.jpg. At least it's releasing there.

Was Nisekoi the anime-gear-solid game?

Dies Irae Kickstarter just launched

Q: PS Vita?

We will make a PS Vita version if the stretch goal is met.

Q: Will the PS Vita version be physical, digital, or both?

Digital-only.

Q: What regions will the PS Vita version be available in?

We are currently looking into that.

Maybe I'm blind but I don't think they detailed the stretch goals yet. Funding goal is $160k

Digital only copy that might not release in my region is a tough sell though

EDIT: Tentatively backed for the early bird digital ver anyway. This looks pretty good

According to Falcom's newsletter, the reason for not listing the PSV version of Origin is due to it not having a release date yet:

Issue Vol.765

アクションRPG「イース」シリーズの人気作「イース・オリジン」がPS4用タイトルとして、日本を含む世界各国で、2017年2月21日に発売することが決定!※PS Vita版も発売予定。発売日は未定。(発売:DotEmu)

I thought they had the same release date? Unless it's different for Japan.

They did have the same release date; at least during PSX it was implied it was February and it wasn't specified that the Vita version was any different than PS4.

Wouldn't surprise me even slightly if Vita version was delayed while PS4 version hit that date, though.

Ray Gigant is $5 for PS+ US PSN subscribers. It's around $8 for non-PS+. It's one of the best Vita games of 2016, it's a no-brainer for that price.

Sharin no Kuni made almost $5k today

https://www.kicktraq.com/projects/tokyootakumode/re-sharin-no-kuni-project/#chart-daily

If they can keep that going it could barely meet the Vita goal

What's important to note here is that according to Kicktraq the project gained only 17 new backers today. Which could mean:
- a couple of people decided to select one of the more expensive tiers. Which would mean these big spenders are out of the race now, since they already contributed.
- or: a great deal of people who were already backing increased their pledge because something changed in the campaign. Which also means they won't do that anymore in the last 2 or so days.

To get to 120,000, this project is going to need a lot more than 17 backers a day. They're going to have to bring in a substantial amount of new people in the last stretch.

Nice, but where's Shovel Knight? ;)

Is there no order to the titles? That's killing me, lol.

I wonder, I wonder, where's Shovel Knight and Yomawari? *wink wink*

But regarding the order, other people told me that I should arrange it at least alphabetically... It's too much work, but I might do it someday.

It is never too much work to have a collection be presented the way it's supposed to be presented in order to stop the voices from telling you you've done it wrong. *eye twitch*

Can't go wrong with that price, but I thought people described it as an easy, repetitive and kind of braindead dungeon crawler.
