[Update: Confirmed for PS3/PC] Rumor - Enslaved: Odyssey to the West Releasing on PC

PS3 but not 360? Normally I wouldn't care that much, but trying the demos Enslaved ran like shit on PS3 but fairly well on 360. Well, I guess PC should beat both readily anyway so it's not THAT big of a deal anyway, just kind of baffling.

This game is great imo, the artwork is top notch. I finished it on 360 even with the shitty framerate and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also bought the pigsy dlc for 360 but I've never played that besides launching the game in 3D which was a dumb idea since the jaggies get even bigger then.

Did the PS3 release sell significantly more copies than the 360 version?

Last gen, Oddworld Strangers Wrath was the game I felt bombed unfairly and deserved far more recognition. This gen it's definitely Enslaved. Though I played through on 360 years ago, I'd be up for a replay on PS3 if this is adequately priced. That said, used copies of the game go for as little as $5, so this would need significant new content to justify anything over $20.

I've actually have had Oddworld Strangers Wrath HD on my Steam wishlist for a long time. It just keeps getting pushed back, for the most part by Indie releases.

Typical, this is one of the few console exclusives I've played through.

I liked the art work, and the setting and story was nice up to the ending. I feel no urge to play it again though.

Ooh, now this is fantastic news. I really enjoyed the PS3 version despite the poor IQ and horrific framerate. To play this again in 1080p/60fps is going to be glorious. Not to mention the 3D option as well. DmC, Arkham Asylum & City and a few others look stunning running in 3D, so hopefully Enslaved will follow suit. This should help tide things over until you know what makes it to PC.

if only Grief was right about Halo 3

I still believe

News on the Halo front has been delayed until 2014 unfortunately.

grief how do you live with yourself

always being so right

always spreading the believe

GFWL/SecuROM being removed from Bio2 and the Batman games was fortunate stroke of fate (please, WB, let me have my vanilla-flavoured desert), but everything else is just information regurgitated from the registry, which is going to happen far less going forward since subs marked as DevComp no longer publicly broadcast their actual names. Leaks can still occur through app names, of course, but this was a rare thing even before Valve cracked down a bit on registry snooping.

Frame rate was one of the biggest issues I had with the game, I hope it get fixed in the PC release and most importantly I hope I can tweak the camera so I could zoom out for a better view.

The leaks have essentially been plugged at this point, Valve has made it considerably more difficult.
At this point, most of the leaks are from developer mistake or looking over depot names to see what they are working on.

grief can you bring gta v to steam next week

If only...if only.

Respectively, PC will be able to handle the framerates, ini fix for the camera level.

Please for the lov of god make the controllers better. I have ENslaved on PS3, but the controllers were so fucking shit it I never played it more than about 2 hours,

I wonder if Sony paid for it to be console exclusive like Bioshock Ultimate Rapture edition in europe.

Hwuh? Where did you get that from about Bioshock?

As I recall the 360 edition was simply a download only release in EU is all. Wouldn't make any sense for Sony to pay for a bundle of two multiplat games to only be available at retail on PS3. What's the benefit?

Also don't see the gain in doing similar with Enslaved. A re-release of a game no one bought in the first place? Hardly primo moneyhat real estate there...

This game needs a HUGE patch on PS3, because it deteriorates in terms of performance the longer you progress in the game.

Will buy for 20~ at launch (for PC). This is a way late port which is likely not getting special treatment but I definitely liked the demo I played.

It was a decent enough game even though it didn't really do anything special. I wonder if it's just going to contain that single piece of DLC or if they'll add new stuff now it's appearing on PC?

It's funny how well it's actually ended up doing this generation on a platform it never was originally intended for (PlayStation).

I'm double dipping fo sure. But only if the PC ver has better/higher res textures; those screenshots in the OP look hideous.
