Finally bought a new PSP, but then pushed the demon onto someone else. Jesus.
Anyone know how to manually add this in? I don't want to install Sp2, but I want to be able to pick and choose updates manually.

Any ideas?

1. SP1 is no longer available.

2. I said I didn't want to install any service packs

I'm pretty sure you can only get it through windows update, and I'm sure theres a way to get service pack 1..its not bad really.

SP1 includes it? Didn't seem like it. I remember having to actually install drivers to get USB 2.0 to work.

SP2 seems like it works out of the box. It doesn't list anything exactly as "2.0", only as "Standard Enhanced" but my USB 2.0 printer seems to think it's on a 2.0 port so it's obviously working.

There's really no reason not to unless you believe all those retards that can't install it correctly. :)

Either way, you can't just seperate the USB 2.0 from the service pack and get the Microsoft drivers alone AFAIK. Depending on the motherboard chipset though, you should be able to download the drivers direct. I know Via has them for instance.

I guess I'll go ahead and update to SP2 since it's on the laptop, and not my desktop.

We'll see what happens...

I updated to SP2 and all that... Still no USB2.0 action. Dammit.

My motherboard came with a CD that had USB 2.0 drivers, I had already installed SP1 at that time though so I didn't need them

First of all my condolences for the installation of SP2. Second like kpop100 said you need the motherboard drivers. If you don't have the cd download them from your motherboard's site.

I actually still have the install file for SP1 (the file that connects to microsoft anyway). I just installed it last night with no problem. pm me if you need it.

"Enhanced Host Controller Interface" means usb2 in the device manager. You'll know it's working if you see that.

This is still an issue. Nothing has worked. Running SP2 and everything. The manufacturer's site doesn't even have anything in reference to USB 2 or EHCI either...

Any other suggestions?
