USPS Fucked

USPS lost a rare book I nabbed on Amazon for a decent price. I had to pay double when I did eventually track down another one. Just two more USPS packages out there with only a few days left until Christmas. Let's see what happens...

Corrupted company. No problems with UPS or Fed Ex. I get my packages non prime in 4 days not a single mistake even during holidays. Usps pretend like there is a delay or overload in demand then steal or lose your packages.

Package originates in Wisconsin (three weeks ago!) and I’m 730 miles directly south. Package is now going in circles in New Hampshire, because to go south you first have to go 900 miles east.

Comparatively, Amazon managed to successfully deliver a Chinese-made dildo in two days. I think I prefer Chinese communism to American Democrats.

I’ve had the same movie from Best Buy lost twice now. At least I assume the second one is lost. It’s 100% intended with DeJoy the fucking stooge in charge.

They were extra fucked this afternoon with the tracking system down for a while.

On the bright side, now that it's back up I see my headset made it to my post office this morning and is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Hopefully that sticks and I don't have to worry about it coming after we head out of state on the 24th. Put a hold on our mail while we're gone, but unclear if that applies to packages.

I got 2 eBay sales that I’m gonna have to refund cause usps just lost there shit. Thankfully I got the insurance so should be able to recoup with a claim. Never happen to me before and I get hit with 2 in a month.

Pretty pissed right now, ordered a gift for wife on December 9th, got tracking info on 10th and the update still haven’t moved from initial. Just a few days left to show up, crossing fingers...

USPS isn't capable of staffing up for the holidays like a private company. Expecting timely delivery from them this time of the year---during a pandemic, no less---is not wise.

I don't even trust them during the rest of the year. In my area UPS is the only dependable option.

Another madhouse day at the post office. And now we're down a supervisor, a lead clerk, and a carrier that all tested positive for COVID.

2020 keeps on giving, even until the very end. It's awful to work for USPS right now.

Don't expect them to be miracle workers, they're still human. Also Trump's new Post Master General was destroying automatic sorters earlier this year which just put more work on the already strained employees. Hell I started with them in March and learned what they do. Shit was already pressured to hell back then. Can't believe what they're going through now. Wouldn't wish that job on anyone and doesn't pay near enough what it should for the fucking pressure you're under.

Crap.

Person I sent the book to hasn't asked for a refund yet but they've been understanding. I'm hoping they eventually get it but there hasn't been any updates still since the 9th.

Sometimes my uncle sends money for Hanukkah but there has been nothing and if that happened it might of also got lost or stolen.

Edit: we had a really good mail lady. She retired about a month or two ago. She was like, "I ain't got no time for that."

At least I guess the local post office is busting ass to get packages out by Xmas. My headset finally got delivered this morning--at 5:51am! Got woken up by the tracking text alert for the delivery notification as I'd forgotten to silence my phone last night.

Sent someone a book so I could get some holiday money to help pay bills.

Apparently the universe has been against me and throwing me curve balls since late September and lo and behold my package is lost in the mail. Sent it out around the 2nd and it's been "In Transit" since December 5th.

USPS is all sorts of fucked apparently right now with reduced staff, reduced funding and the Hell-a-days season.
Had the and problem. Got my order a month late. But I got it.

Attempted to send a package to my sister in law Japan for like $119 in February. What arrived? A completely different package, where the original packing label was flipped upside down and ours was ripped off ours and placed on theirs. That package was supposed to go to Switzerland. It did get picked up, but ours is still in limbo and I periodically get emails saying they're looking for it every few months or so. Horseshit and there's absolutely nothing I can do, I'm just out the shipping cost and the shit that was in the package. They won't even settle insurance until it is determined lost, which they won't do since they're "looking for it".

Shipping will never be as fast as going out, it might be good for small things like books but when you get physical packages just get worn down during travel.

Depends on where you live and what kind of delivery services are offered.

We order stuff from Amazon and get free same-day and it comes in a few hours usually. The 2 minutes it takes me to browse amazon and then get back to work is certainly faster than having to go drive somewhere and maybe have stuff be out of stock.

And you realize stores get products.. shipped to them? lol I have no issue with any items being damaged or worn compared to buying stuff from stores.

I'm wondering about that myself. Something I ordered on Ebay is still stuck for weeks after it was supposed to be delivered. I don't want the seller to have to eat it, but I never even saw what I paid for. Wonder how long I can wait.

one of my 2 ended up being delivered yesterday over 2 weeks late. Seller likely will have to eat it unless they paid for insurance out of there end. I always do so hope most other do as well. Still looks like one is gone for sure, should have been delivered on the 4th and set hasn’t been scanned for weeks.

I‘d start a claim, yeah sucks for seller but buyer shouldn’t be out something because usps sucks ass.

I have to wait till 31st to file a claim but eBay already gave the guy his money back, just hop it doesn’t show up now :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I haven't had too many problems but a game I bought from eBay has been stuck in limbo since the 10th. Was supposed to get here on the 15.
Got this package yesterday, so three weeks and a day late. I was honestly surprised it got here.

I ordered something on the 25th (a single DVD) and the estimated delivery date is set for March. This order was placed on the the 26th of December. It's not a big deal to me. My job keeps me busy and fortunately they managed to get all of my other orders from the 25th delivered yesterday. I live in Mexico and only order with Amazon (Redpack delivery here), FedEx, DHL, or UPS. Never in a million years would I screw with USPS in a country like this. USPS once took 6-months to deliver a used CD to me. Their tracking is primitive and as someone posted on page 1; have a look at how disorganized their warehouses are for dispatch. It's like they're still using the same methods implemented back in the early 20th century.

I ordered some handmade leg warmers off Etsy from a woman in Estonia near the End of November and they took just under a month to show up. I was expecting it to take way longer. They shipped via Estonia post , no tracking number to even watch.

My PS5 is "lost" in the mail. I hope the degenerate USPS employee that stole it at least plays good games on it and takes care of it.

How long has it been lost? I know this was an issue when the console first came out but it is a felony for any USPS employee to steal mail or packages.

Mail has been slower than usual for several months, due to things. I would definitely call them and they can put a trace on the package.

It was mailed 2 day priority but stopped being scanned almost immediately. We're on day 10, I've opened a case, reopened it after USPS closed it, escalated it, and filed a search request form. I've gotten a generic email that it's in transit but no one can tell me where it is, why it's delayed, why it hasn't been scanned, etc.

Call them if you haven't. Call your local distribution center it usually ships from and if they can't give you an answer ask for their supervisor. Keep this up until you get someone to look into it.

They stole my XSX too and my friend sent me gift package last month was stolen too. I would recommend anyone avoid using USPS for anything if you know what's good for you.

Tampering with the mail is a federal crime.
