Uwe Boll Interview! Hillarity!

IGN Filmforce has an interview with Uwe Boll on the last day of shooting for BloodRayne. Here is the first part of IGN's interview with the doctor himself.

Here are some of my favorite quotes from the esteemed Dr. Boll:

And then we got, as like a vampire crack house leader, we have Meatloaf. He's playing it like in the Rocky Horror Picture Show, a really cool scene with tons of prostitutes in a big crack house. It's a great scene.

I think it was good that a woman wrote BloodRayne because it has that erotic lesbian but violent…

She's half vampire and half human, so it has something that is really kick-ass that is also bad-ass in a way.

The whole beginning of the movie, BloodRayne is like a freak in the circus, and people want to rape her, and she's like the attraction of the evening, and everybody in the arena of the circus is drunk and they throw her arms into water so the skin burns and then she must drink the blood of a goat [so] that she recovers… It's a big miracle that she recovers…

It's more like the epic character-driven thing and not this high concept story thing.

:lol :lol :lol :lol

I think I'll go watch a few Bresson films now to ease the pain. Uwe Boll is simply too much.

Dude reading that made me want to poke my eyes out.

Or maybe scoop them out with a spoon. Whichever would provide a better guarantee that I would never be able to see again.

It's even more funny because IGN Filmforce was like the only publication to give House of the Dead a good review. For whatever reason they thought it was INTENTIONALLY bad, and thus it's success at being bad made it good. :lol

It has an interesting character-driven quality that Kristanna Loken really liked. She didn't have any interest in playing like one of the Elektra, Catwoman, clean parts. BloodRayne is quite bloody and dirty and sexual. It is a different thing. It will be an R-rated movie. We are very violent and open in our erotic scenes…
It's like he's 13.

Also, for those wondering why Ben Fucking Kingsley is in this movie, according to Uwe:
"[Ghandi] told me on the telephone that he always wanted to play a vampire and this was the opportunity."

Fun Fact: Uwe Boll patted me down at the door before the preview screening of House of the Dead at the San Francisco film festival.

Boll gave a short speech before showing the movie, and I turned to my friend Ethan "Stealy McGrabbington" Einhorn, pointed to Boll, and loudly said, "That's the cat that frisked me!"

I love that story and promise to keep dragging it out anytime Boll's name is mentioned.

He(Ben Kingsley) will never ever do it, but he accepted it right away, and he told me on the telephone that he always wanted to play a vampire and this was the opportunity

Hmmm Ben, haven't you read the script before accepting?

Man does Uwe Boll need to be shot on site.

I bet this man hasn't touched a pussy in decades.

Uh, Booker? He's a director with films that have actually made it into theaters, quality notwithstanding. You can be sure that he's seen more pussy than you've had hot dinners.
