Valve has announced that Steam Deck will launch on February 25

Literally read this as January 25th, read the first posts and thought "Uhm, is no one else seeing this!"

. . .I need to eat lunch.

A day after my son's birthday.

Here's hoping a lot of people who put down a pre-order flake and we all move up
I might be one of those flakes.

Put down a preorder just to get in line but I really doubt I'll pull the trigger.

I imagine a lot of people did the same. I need more info before buying.

I love Valve hardware and still use the Steam controller and the Index but this is probably the most ambitious release from a company not known for their hardware quality or their support. Plus the whole Linux/"it's on the developers to optimize for Steam Deck" wild card.

We shall see. The thing looks fucking cool though.

Nice. It would be great to see their new Steam OS released and see how its compatibility for Steam games (+emulators) has been improved, and see if there's some performance improvement. Even if it's to use it on a normal PC.

Hell yeah, just one more month

It's super impressive that these games work on the Steam Deck. Not sure that I would want to play many of them on a handheld but still really cool.
One of my buddies refuses to get a desktop so he plans to use the Deck exclusively connected to his TV, never portable. I think he's insane. I will most likely only use it portable.

that's a huge waste of cash lol.
if it's not portable then you can have something so much better and cheaper
