[Valve] Steam Controller: Reservations open May 8th

Your Wolverine v3????

Yeah....only a couple of years old now but the thumbsticks occassionally moving at the base. Not sure why that is happening. It isn't all the time, but I'll be playing and I'll feel this slight shift. Hard to explain, but I'm afraid there is some issue that is going to get worse.

The puck allows that I suppose? Because I cannot boot my gaming pc with an Xbox remote.
Definitely! I have the puck plugged in via USB and it'll wake the PC up from sleep when I turn on the Steam controller.

My motherboard supports it, but I think mileage may vary on every setup.

I've been playing my PC way more. I keep the controller on the couch, so when I plop down here, I turn on the controller, turn on the TV and I'm gaming within a minute.

I've waited to long for a new controller. I'm going to have to drive into Bestbuy today and pick up something. Anything. I'm gonna pick up at least the cheapest regular xbox controller. I'm hoping to grab a series elite 2 core to replace my bad ones.
I really thought I would have a Steam Controller in my hands by now, but once again anything computer gaming related is a big ball of disappointment.

Maybe I'll pick up a dualsense edge. Crap battery life but I think they have a few at my local Bestbuy.

Oh, from sleep. I thought it was possible to cold boot the PC like a console. My PC is in a different room from my TV so if I could just boot it with a controller, that would be the complete console experience. My PC is already booting in Big Screen mode and I bypass Windows ids. It's also convenient when I want to play on another TV around the house, there's a XSX on that TV and I use the Moonlight client on that one. Still missing one PC on my office monitor (5K2K) to complete my total setup.

I've been seeking a console-like PC experience for years!

You might already be doing this, but thought I'd share in case there's new info in here for you :messenger_grinning:

That Pulse Eight adapter is great. Actually just finished setting up my CachyOS box with it this morning. Turns my TV on and switches input on wake, turns the TV and controller off on sleep. It's glorious.

I paid on May 24th and still waiting for it. Looks like it will arrive June 1st. I guess memorial weekend and just the timing in general is what caused it to take so long.
