Vanillaware responds to Dragon's Crown cancellation rumors

hopefully, or worse, changing platforms
You'd probably just get platforms added, what point is there to change from PS3/PS Vita, two cutting edge platforms? At worst it's subtraction here, either Vita for being considered unviable or PS3 because they can fly with that as a console game.

I contemplated about applying to VanillaWare last year in June when they were hiring for more programmers for this game. Although in the end I decided not to I sincerely hope this game will get released and believe it will be their finest piece of software yet.

Maybe they are announcing that they actually want to make a good game for once and are delaying the game until they learn how to design gameplay.

I really like Vanillaware games from an art perspective, but they are snoozefests in gameplay design. Just like the other "artists, not game designers" studio that is Level 5.

Hopefully we get some news at E3 right? I really want this game bad, I played way too much Castle Crasher and I would probably end up playing hours upon hours of this in local co-op. Don't fail us Vanillaware (and redesign that BAD ART™ witch).

Oh, the game will still be released. Anything bearing a resemblance to real level design however has been canceled. On the bright side, boobies are still a go.

I heard everyone from Vanillaware signed up for the Good Game Design course, but it was cancelled anyway because the class couldn't get 35 people to sign up, and the Grasshopper dudes backed out at the last moment since they thought they didn't need it. :(

Screw you leave her alone! :D mmmm T&A

I liked PC, GG, and OS just fine for what they were. *shrug* They aren't ambitious as a developer, but they provide solid games that do the job. Better than nothing in their absence, I suppose. Still, DC seems to be a proper BEU, so it automatically leans toward the good game side of things until I play it.
