So far:
--KH2 feature shows the Lion King world
--Tengai Makyou III score is 8/7/7/6 BOMB HARD

yea, I know. At work now and don't have the bookmarks for the good info sites. Just skimming random 2ch threads looking for nuggets of info.

Tengai Makyou III finally released? Good lord, that game has been ten years or more in coming (yes, I know it wasn't actually in development all that time). :lol

*waits for more Kingdom Hearts II info*

Thanks though, I would believe the Lion King world rumor. Simba was already a summon in the first game afterall.

Bomberman - Panic Bomberman for the PSP.

Also like 4 graphical adventure games announced for the PSP (most are ports like Double Cast, too lazy to translate all the titles)

Tons of yummy info on Adventure Player, too tired to read now.

FFVII Advent Children limited edition announced.

Is there a release date announced with the AC LE?

And does it come with an FFXII demo? :P

Hahhahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahaa.

(Short answer: no)

Oh and I hear Romancing SaGa got an AWESOME review, but rumor for now.

....

But Romancing Saga wouldn't be until the next issue along with Fire Emblem GC...

I don't remember Famitsu giving out reviews 2 weeks in advance before.

Well then the rumor is fake then! As it appears I'm seeing tons of dodgy info on this end.... but yeah Tengai looks to be the BOMBA. :(

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111 OMG... are they seriously bringing Double Cast to the PSP? (or did you just use that as an example) I thought since Sugar & Rockets was disbanded, the assets for the Yarudora series were lost.

You have no idea how excited I'd be to have Double Cast redone on the PSP.

Yes, they are releasing Double Cast, Sampaguita, and two other Yarudora series (cant remember the names) that came out on the PS1. I dont have the magazine so I cant confirm if its a port or a revamp, but its definitely coming. Too bad they are charging full price for it...I bet they could have crammed all 4 of them into one UMD, or maybe two.

I don't see how they could have fit all 4 into one UMD honestly, there's a ton of voice acting and animation in the games. It's not quite as simple as you think. Anyway I agree, it's very good news. :D

There's also some Capcom stuff in the other threads...

-Viewtiful Joe VFX Battle (GC/PS2/PSP)
-Scratch! Viewtiful Joe (DS)
-Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Federation Vs Zaft (GC/PS2)

Ok. There were 4 Yarudora PS1 games and 1 PS2 game (or 3, if you count the 2 part "Blood: The Last Vampire" thing that Sugar & Rockets weren't involved with, but used the Yarudora DVD engine).

Double Cast (my favorite), Kisetsu Wo Dakishimete (2nd fav), Sampaguita, and Yukiwari no Hana.

And (sadly) the PS2 "Yarudora DVD" before they broke up, "Scandal":

At the GDC a few years back, I met the head of 989 studios here who mentioned that Sugar & Rockets disbanded and many of the staffers went on to do the game "Surveillance" before being absorbed into other SCEI groups.

I'd really like to know who's doing these, then. I sent an e-mail to Maki over at Production I.G. to see if she can dig up anything on her end.

Double Cast? Haha I never even played the game b4 and I bought the OST just because Yuki Kajiura composed it :D

So, Famitsu facts
Tengai Makyou III Namida: 8,7,7,7
Remote Control Dandy SF: 8,8,8,8
(only two reviews this week) >_<

New games:
Scratch! Viewtiful Joe (DS)
- looks like a regular VJ game, but with lower res
- action on bottom screen, with VFX close-ups on the top screen
- set in theme park
- stars Joe and Jasmine (Joe's sister)

Viewtiful Joe VFX Battle (GC, PSP)
- just a VJ character battle game, a la Onimusha Buraiden
- includes new chars from the anime like Captain Blue Jr. and Sprocket
PSP has the energy bars on the side, GC has them on the top, GC has film strip graphics at top and bottom, PSP doesn't. So basically the gamescreen is the same size on both. Or at least it looks like that.
(side note: I actually saw VJ cartoon this weekend and it was pretty cool!)

Ookami (PS2)
- content has changed quite a lot since it was unveiled last July (rolleyes @ capcom)
- still no release date info
- lots of new screens
- looks gorgeous as ever

Atarimix Happy 10 Games (DS)
- Asteroids, Sprint, Missile Command, Breakout, Tempest, Lunar Lander, Centipede, Pong, Gravitar

Taito Memories part 1 (PS2)
- coming out in summer with 25 games
- there's a quiz that lists 100 games and you have to pick 3 you think will be on the compil. 52 winners will get the game. Hmm, wonder if this will provide a hint for what comes in part 2 too.

No KH2 info, in spite of their promise last week :(
Next week: Sakura Taisen V, Wanda and the very big things, Tales of Legendia

--KH2 feature shows the Lion King world

That's awesome. Now if only they fix the busted gameplay, I'd get it.

Next KH should have Studio Ghibli worlds, that would be pimp.

Also, KH has some of, if not the best graphics on PS2. Perfect 3D representations on 2D animated characters, great environments too.

Can I ask the date on the front of this issue? I'll have to check it out when it comes in to the local Kino...

One thing, is the PSP VJ like Smash Brothers, or more like a 2D Street Fighter type fighting game.
This is not immediately discernible from the magazine ;) It's an action fighting game. VFX powers are being tuned for a fighting game. Each character has 5 hearts (life meter?) and a VFX bar. There's also a meter in the middle showing "V points" which seems to swing in favour of whoever has the most full VFX bar. It's probably more novelty than a regular SF type game as there is a screen showing "Fever Chance!" and a bunch of enemies fly on the screen.

Sorry I was inaccurate about the screen sizes before. The PSP version also shows the film strips sometimes, so I guess it depends on whether you are pulling off a VFX move or not. Hence the PSP has a more widescreen view.

Never going to happen. Miyazaki hates videogames and Disney has no authority in licensing the properties. Also, it'd suck. :P

What was announced about Advent Children? Release date etc?

I still don't know anything about this film's release - is it UMD-only as I read months ago, or does it also have a DVD release planned? Is it straight to DVD/film or is it getting a cinematic run first (hope not because it'll take ages to arrive here and when it does, it'll be butchered with a horrible translation!)
