Verify these launch titles lists for me?

The black man everyone at Activision can agree on
I've got what I think are the launch lists of the PS2, Xbox and GC this gen. Just for the heck of it I went and crunched some #'s using gamerankings and found that the overall % rating of each system's launch titles averages out to be really close 73.98%, 74.97& and 75.64%, but I want to make sure these lists are correct so could ya check em for me? In the meantime I'm going to see if I can track down a Dreamcast launch list to add.

EDIT: I've added the what I think is the DC launch list.

This is where it gets interesting the DC has the highest average review ranking at 76%, if the above list is full. IT also has the honor of having the highest average ranking of a launch title Soul Calibur at 96.7%. The lowest? The GC with Universal Studios Theme Park Adventure at 29%.

I'll post the full list with their average review rankings once I'm sure I have everything.

Only about half of those PS2 games were available on day 1. The rest filtered in during the first month or so.

The same probably goes for a few games for the other systems, but I don't really remember.

hyperbolically metafictive
i maintain that the ps2 launch lineup was pretty decent, although i didn't bother buying the system until spring. ridge racer v, tekken tag, armored core 2, dynasty warriors 2, ssx, and gun griffon blaze were all solid, playable games. nothing earthshaking, but a pretty decent spread. wasn't gradius III + IV out at launch as well?

xbox had a bunch of crap and halo. which to be fair is one of the greatest games ever made. gc had a bunch of crap and monkey ball. hang on, gc still has a bunch of crap and monkey ball.

i imported my dc shortly after it launched in japan, so i don't really remember what the us launch lineup was. i'm sure soul calibur, powerstone, and sonic adventure were there, and those were all terrific. sonic adventure hasn't aged well, though. it could've been much stronger if vf3tb and sega rally 2 had been available at launch -- as i recall, both games were delayed in the u.s.

The PS2 lineup numbers were all shipped for launch some before - like Madden & SSX), although you're right that certain locations around the country didn't have everything day 1.

But the PS2 list is right - 29 games.

You really go out of your way in providing brilliant commentary.

Wow, take out Universal Studios Adventure and GC really kills. Even left in it still edges out over Xbox and PS2.

EDIT: Ugh it looks like code works different on this board... these are all in excel how do I copy and past the spreadsheet so the columns are lined up correctly?

I'd like the answer to that as well. What I do is save the spreadsheet as formatted text (not tab delimited), open it up with a text editor and then copy and paste.

I am pretty sure DC launched with 18 titles... I will try to find the others but off hand I think Flag to Flag and Hydro Thunder were launch titles.

So what would be an accurate launch list. Shipped within the first week or available on the first day? I'd give a little leniancy due to shipping problems and launch coordinations.

Some even consider what's released in the first month to be launch games.

"So, here's the final list of titles that, barring some natural disaster (or production difficulty), you'll be able to pick up on 9/9/99: Sonic Adventure, NFL 2K, The House of the Dead II, Cart - Flag to Flag (note the name change!), AeroWings, Airforce Delta, Blue Stinger, Hydro Thunder, Monaco Grand Prix, Mortal Kombat Gold, NFL Blitz 2000, PenPen TriIcelon (note the concatenation of Pen Pen to PenPen, and the capitalization for TriIcelon), Power Stone, Ready 2 Rumble, Soul Calibur, Tokyo Xtreme Racer (note the spelling of "Extreme" as "Xtreme"), TNN Motorsports HardCore Heat, and TrickStyle."
