Is it acceptable to use this thread to toot my own horn and tell people to download the Mega Man 2 and 3 cover version soundtracks I did a couple years ago? If not, delete this, but come on - fans of Mega Man and sloppily recorded rock will love it!

I also suggest the Zelda "music of my groin" remix that used to be and may still be available at ocremix.org.

.. You're telling me you were part of the Project X dealy? Be serious now.

one of the best remixes ive heard was this piano version of AD600 of chrono trigger. truly wonderful. i would love hear a piano rendition of "Another World" from chrono cross

I would recommend these remixes:

1. Mega Man 3 - Blue Reflection by Injury (Proto Man’s Ending Theme)

Absolutley beautiful! (a little jazz, piano and song)

2. Final Fantasy 6 - Death on the snowfield by AmIEviL (Terra's theme)

A true classic. A touching piece. (Piano + more)

3. Punch Out - Little Mac's Confession by Game Over (training sequence)

Adrenaline track with lyrics. (Metal + more)

4. Starfox - Godspeed by the Wingless (Corneria theme)

Superb, fantastic intro. (variation)

5. Mega Man 7 - Introduction to Heaven by Sir Nuts (intro stage)

Builds up into an explosive great track. (Trance)

Yeah. I am half of it! That's why I'm Rawk... the whole dorky Project X backstory was that we were Rokman and Rawkman, special robots built to write tribute songs about Rockman after the final defeat of Dr Wily. Haha, that sounds SO dorky. As it said in the original band bio:

Old Project X website said:
IN THE YEAR 3528, MEGA MAN FINALLY CAUGHT ON TO DR.
WILY'S CLEVER PLOY OF FAKING HIS OWN DEATH. AFTER EQUIPPING
"BONE SAW", WHICH HE WON FROM A HARD-FOUGHT BATTLE WITH SURGEON
MAN, MEGA MAN PREFORMED AN IMPROMPTU VIVISECTION ON THE INSANE,
VICIOUS, AND UTTERLY ANCIENT MAD SCIENTIST. AT LAST, MEGA
MAN HAD COMPLETED THE GRUELING MISSION UPON WHICH HE
HAD FIRST EMBARKED WAY BACK IN THE YEAR 200X.

COMPLETELY SURPRISED BY THIS FINALIZING TURN OF EVENTS,
DR. LIGHT SUFFERED HIS 748TH HEART ATTACK, BY FAR HIS
SECOND-WORST. HOWEVER, THE ADVANCED FUTURISTIC MEDICINE
OF THE 36TH CENTURY KEPT HIM ALIVE AND WELL... AND READY
TO PARTY. AFTER HIS RECOVERY, DR. LIGHT BUILT AND ACTIVATED
TWO NEW ROBOTS: "ROKMAN" AND "RAWKMAN", RESPECTIVELY
NICKNAMED "MIKE" AND "NICK", TO AVOID CONFUSION IN JAPAN,
WHERE MEGA MAN HIMSELF IS ACTUALLY NAMED "ROCKMAN". IN
CELEBRATION OF MEGA MAN'S TRIUMPH, DR. LIGHT DEVISED A
DAUNTING, YET HONORABLE TASK FOR HIS NEW CREATIONS:

RECORD A MUSICAL TRIBUTE TO MEGA MAN'S VICTORY!!!

We're actually working on a huge, non-videogame, original music project now. But putting the website back together makes me want to record some new Mega Man music! Our sound is SOOO much better now (not that it would take much; we recorded Project X in our dorm room with no drums).
