Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | November 2013 | Tearaway into a new world

This thread is insane. I've bought at least 3 games just because it's gone on a 2-3 page hype train over one or another particular title.

Hahaha. That's how VitaGAF is. Awesome for you, awful for your wallet.

This year my Christmas is going to be this + some Vita games / accesories.

I hate bugs. Edf allows me blow them up with a bazooka.

I've finished one runthrough on normal. Unlocked the palewing. Will probably wait a little before I go through it again. It is a great pick up and play title.

Yeah, I've been enjoying blowing up gigantic bugs

What? Why?
Diva F(ps3) has more contents iirc, so we'll get the "inferior" version later at higher price when it will come, all of this without considering that diva f 2 is already in the works, i bet that diva f2 for vita will be released months after the ps3 version in the west.

Imo this is another bad move like making spiderman instead of spiderman 2...

But will it be available physically?
Hopefully physical and PS3 DLC for <$20 so I can finally pick it up.

I have to imagine that they'll do a simultaneous localization of f2 now, provided the Vita version doesn't bomb enough for them to not localize it at all.

Yep - more games on the system is bad.

ok Sega

Can we please focus on highly demanded games like PSO2 now?

Also Skies of Arcadia while you are at it

These I can get behind

I've lost hope with PSO2 :( - at least give us PSNova sega! ;__;

can't wait to hear your impressions and see if gaf-hype failed you or not.

Castlestorm is excellent!

I wish Proteus got more of a discount.

Got basically everything already that's in the EU sale again, always very limited for Vita here.

For the version of the game whos advantage is the AR you'll need a card for... (or print, but still)
Guess I can hope the US DLC will run on my Japanese copy then, I guess. :/ Probably not.
Don't know about that, I only used the AR once to get the trophies.

Yes if they hurt more "important" games.

What sega developed:
-first project diva f for vita
-then project diva F for ps3 with new content
-now it's making diva F 2 for both vita and ps3

How the western localization should have been handled:
-the same order as japanese versions or diva f and F released at the same time with the same contents and then diva f 2
or
-just Diva F for ps3 and diva f 2 for both

How the western localization will be handled:
-first diva F with more contents
-then diva f with less contents, in the meantime diva F will be cheaper
-the late release of diva f will force sega to delay both version of diva f 2 or even worse just the vita version.

About spiderman, just few days after the announcement of the spiderman port for vita here the announcement of spiderman 2 for EVERYTHING except vita. Do you really think that spiderman 2 would have been announced with spiderman 1 in the works? Vita will get a full price late port of spiderman 1 and then a full price late port of spiderman 2 instead of a full price new multi.

Yes not always more games is better if they hurt newer releases.

Okay, you sold me on the game. I'll buy castle storm. Well, my foot was already halfway through the door anyway after i watched bluemaxima's video.

So been finishing up on all the solo Avalon pacts in Soul sacrifice. never played this game online.

And I don't mean to brag. Will just leave at this photos.

Thats dual illecebra twice.

Now only leviathan is left and platinum is all mine.

Some good points

I understand what you're saying - but in the case of niche games I don't see it hurting too much.

As a side point:

What's the PERFECT price of a handheld game for you guys? I know I shouldn't really classify them differently - but paying £25/30+ is a REAL turnoff for me.

Wow... Thats impressive

My buddy and I struggled with that one until we found a way to separate them for one on one.

Also how in the world do you even beat leviathan

My price threshold for handheld games is higher than console/PC, maybe because they start cheap and don't get much cheaper. Usually don't mind dropping $40 on something I know I'm going to like if it's a physical copy. Will buy almost anything I'm interested in at $20 or less.

Also import games for vita cost $50-70 (before shipping sometimes) so $40 even feels like a deal to me sometimes.

I love the gameplay, art style, even the story is fun!

I used to play that wii game, swords vs soldiers or something like that, this adds a lot more to it so quite a bit of multitasking.
I haven't even messed around with the castle editor yet, played for an hour and a half straght. Rated 5* and going back to it in a second :)

Only thing is it recommended I close the game when I was browsing the web on vita, pages kept refreshing by themselves.

Looks great in game, runs and plays well too. Plus it is liie 250mb. BTW there is a trial too, just incase.

Thats how I did it. I split them up and defeated one and then went after the other.
I have no idea on leviathan.

If I had to pick the twin griffin and phoenix quest was the hardest.

Oh btw I am 25/75 build.

I'm excited for Miku because you actually use buttons. I was a HUGE DJ Max fan of the PSP games but got rid of Technika due to the touch screen only junk.

what builds do ppl use in soul sac? i'm going dark side only, probably gonna build a glass cannon

smaller indie titles should be $15 and retail games should be $30

It's too bad you waited this long to do the Leviathan quest. The Ice Armor + Seadevil Scale combo pre-patch made Leviathan a relatively fast quest.

Soul Sacrifice solo is still a cakewalk with a defensive (~99/1) build though.

I am a 25/75 build. But be warned U can still die with one hits many times from high level bosses. This is where the sigils and armors come in handy. I used -40%attach / +60% defense sigil for the twin birds one along with a fire armor. Thats how I finished that one.

What? What else did the patches change?

I'm not sure, but that specific combo was the biggest change I noticed. Before the patch, you could activate Ice Armor and then use Seadevil Scales to slow down enemies (giving you more time to attack when Leviathan is on the ground) while still being able to move around normally. The patch nerfed the combo so that you get slowed down along with the enemies even with Ice Armor on.

Ah thanks for explaining. But don't u get the scales from leviathan thereby u have to defeat him atleast once.

Can anybody tell me about Valhalla Knights? Is it a roaming RPG? A Soul Sacrifice arena combat thing? Is it any good?

Fights are on the map but a circle limits the area of the fight(you can escape though)

2+2=5 seemed to like it. He had thisblong ass posts describing the game in this thread I think. May want to look for it in his post history
Man it seems that people ignore my long ass posts ;_; or maybe they don't trust my judgment ;_; (not a totally stupid thing to do lol ... ;_; )

I didn't even think to use time slowing spells

Damn now it makes much more sense

congrats - i havent played EDF, but hear great things - lots of people like to play together here. also SSD is another great pick up, personally i thought it'd have a little more content, but its a very fun and pretty challenging game. i'm sure youll have fun with both.

Thanks. Needed some more games to play in short bursts and even though I've already wasted hours in Super Stardust Portable the temptation was too big.

So, Proteus...what exactly is the point of it? I'm kind of enjoying the aimless wandering, the chasing of the chickens, watching the sun rise and fall, but at the same time, I feel like I'm missing something significant. Is there something else I should be doing?

vitabros, I haven't heard an answer, and I can't find an answer anywhere.

If I order a 64 GB card from play asia, will it eventually make its way to a US home? or will I need to retrieve it from somewhere
