As one of the few here that adores VR, it's a real fucking shame that we don't see more VR exclusive games. But I get it. It's super niche.
I really wanted Nintendo to enter the fray and be the first of the big 3 (2?) that ships VR with every game.
Until Nintendo, Sony or Xbox REQUIRES VR support, the medium is dead.
On some level this is true, largely when it comes to big flat studios and known IP, but on the other hand indies have stepped up and there are frequent quality releases in tons of different genres and styles, short or long form, more than one realistically can buy even, whether stand alone or PC/PS.
Shows like this are just the tip of the iceberg (and themselves have also become super frequent - there was another one from UploadVR last month and yet another in March from the same people as this - exactly because there's so much stuff really).
It's more analogous to a Sega Saturn and N64 (VR) vs the super popular competition of the PS (flat) than some total flop of a platform that gets no games (Jaguar). Tons of gems to find and enjoy.
Anyone saying there are no games/it's dead without qualifications like known/flat studios/IP is just being ignorant. Whether as a fan of VR or not.
Naturally, the mainstream only hears of the f2p meme games, flat ports, or the occasional title posing (or failing) as AAA.
So if that's one's opinion on what VR offers it's based on casual ignorance, not the actual games.
