About to beat off
Starts in 15min.
Convenient place for all the debuting stuff without watching the whole thing:Wow this is an incredibly inconvenient time to watch it. I'll be back in 12 hours....
There's tons of cool VR stuff almost daily with or without such shows. It's just not really covered even by VR outlets, never mind general gaming media. Like, just some stuff that dropped today-ish (ok I threw in the Tac Assault update trailer from a couple days ago too) before & after this showcase:Nice to see something VR related.
Nice, first I've seen of that Tokyo Walkabout Minigolf exapansion. I'll get it. I've played so much Walkabout Minigolf it' my most used VR game. There's tons of VR stuff daily with or without such showcases. Curious to see maybe some good VR titles.

Cool, I am glad some people are out there trying to do something with VR.
Would be sick to see an Nintendo Virtual Boy 2 VR with modern hardware. Or a Halo VR from Xbox.As one of the few here that adores VR, it's a real fucking shame that we don't see more VR exclusive games. But I get it. It's super niche.
I really wanted Nintendo to enter the fray and be the first of the big 3 (2?) that ships VR with every game.
Until Nintendo, Sony or Xbox REQUIRES VR support, the medium is dead.
On some level this is true, largely when it comes to big flat studios and known IP, but on the other hand indies have stepped up and there are frequent quality releases in tons of different genres and styles, short or long form, more than one realistically can buy even, whether stand alone or PC/PS.As one of the few here that adores VR, it's a real fucking shame that we don't see more VR exclusive games. As a fan of VR, I gotta say this -
It's dead, Jim.
Only because they're not doing anything with it. Just a bunch of low-effort arena "games" and memejunk at this point.Indeed
Cool tech, but the novelty soon wears off
