second, take it seriously? I take Projekt Melody just as seriously as I do Gura. And im positive the streamers do as well! And quite a number of the vshojo/hololive girls have said they would have no problem collabing with each other but we all know that will never happen thanks to hololive management.
and of that video, I was referring to the part in it where Mouse and them explain the benefits of being a vtuber over a regular streamer. And to the people who simply judge the girls based on their looks alone at not any of the massive talent they have... well... fuck 'em. Just like alot of the drive-by troll posts in this very thread. at the end of the day, they really dont give a fuck what answers anyone would come up with, they just wanna be trollish fucks anyways.

Let me make it clear that my words are not an attack on your vtuber of choice so relax let me try to explain my thinking since I wrote that in a rush while busy with something else.

I am talking about the toxic parts of the rabbit hole all the negatives that comes with the positives.
I love Hololive EN so from that I am glad Hololive exists but when I say ruins it for those who take it seriously I am mostly thinking of the higher ups who think they own this talent. Like Coco wanting to Collab with Projekt Melody and being shut down. The type of thinking that one side is pure and another side should not be touched ruins it. That is what I meant by that.

The indies and even better the sex and erotic indies really expose how lame the thinking at the top of Hololive and other Seiso side of rabbit hole is.

The more that layer gets exposed the more it ruins the experience because you really don't want to think of Coco or Gura being owned by Cover Corp
but the more you exposed the rules and framework they work by the less fun it is for the fans.

Haachama fans had to watch her struggle and take a few weeks off because she was pushing against a wall that limited her creativity, there are things she cannot do that she clearly wanted to do on stream.

The more you uncover the veil from Hololive the more it ruins the experience.

If you started with Projekt Melody who is as free as can be you might not see this issue but like the video I posted above Projekt Melody and other indies have their own issues to navigate.

I was just talking about how it looks from Hololive perspective and you start seeing the whole thing as these girls not being free to collab with who they want, not being able to stream how they really want and it starts eating away at how you enjoy them. That is what ruins the experience, all of it is suppose to be a pretend world away from real life but then the inner workings gets exposed and it is no longer as cute.


Now to addresss some of your other points, fuck em is not really an answer for everything. If you are an indie vtuber and you cannot afford an illustrator pro like Nabi-mama and your avatar is just a pair of red wings and large boobs this look is only going to work for a few. If you like cute stuff that is not a cute anime girl that is not what she was going for, she has her fans but that does not mean someone like me would be her fan even if she is the nicest most wholesome girl I could ever meet. I am a painter and artist myself so art is visuals to me and how something looks and designed visually matters.

Coco had one of the weirdest designs to me, I think the dragon girl thing never really works, every new suit Coco has been getting lately has raised her design to be more pleasing to the eye. Sure there are some people who won't give a fuck about art and just want shit to look trash because that is more street and real and shit. My dirty ass room is never clean but it is not like I don't know the difference between dirty and clean. There is clean design and there is dirty lazy design.

So a fan saying your favorite vtuber looks weird if she is only red wings and boobs that person is just being honest. That is the character she wants and she can work with it but it does not mean it is a clean, dope, cool design. Shit weird, and wierd is special you can work with that it sets you appart. But calling your ass weird is not hate, it is just honest. I am judging the art and design here not the talent using it.

No worries, I am just a fan like you are. I am just glad that over time in this thread there was only a few of us bumping the thread now we have new faces sharing different vtubers they enjoy.

I am just thinking about the business side a lot as an artist, I want to design my own vtubers someday so I have been looking at the whole spectrum of shit. I was enjoying it blindly not just as a fan but I wanted to enter into it seriously. But there is some real shit out there, well like everything else I guess.

Post clips or strems if you want to pimp your favs or unknown channels. Those small channels need their videos shared their names won't get clicks even I will not click on a name list alone. Pushing play on a clip or whole stream helps out the channel you want to pimp a lot more.

this video the music made me hit sub with the quickness because the music being used is the free music found in the youtube music library and I used that same track because I heard it in Tesla Giga Texas construction videos lol so I used it in my art timelapse videos

He has been really busy lately... with vtubers he collabs a lot, he even has a clip bragging he hung out with Calli.
He likes to act like he does not like vtubers at forst but nah he has gotten to know Ironmouse and plays with Ollie in APEX often enough.

I wish he would also visit the small vtubers I don't know how you found a 700 sub vtuber out of the millions that could be out there but a visit from people like him would help

I made a clipper channel but I've been too busy I think it would be a good idea to clip very small channels most clipper channels focus on the popular ones that do need the support to grow and keep growing but they don't show small ones.

I was a Gura fan from the start so the whole Artemis shark girl trending thing was something I noticed but I did not follow beyond wondering if she had the shark idea first or did she rush out. There was a few other fish girls that seemed to have gotten a boost around that time people were hungry for content.

I dunno man I think Connor gets more views because of vtubers he hangs with or talks about than he helps them to be honest. I mean I would not know who CDawgVA was if it was not in the context of vtubers.

I saw him when he visited Milky Queen's chat, saw him when he visited Ame's chat. I was not there for Ollie or Ironmouse but I don't watch them as much.


Calli hintend that she does not collab with friends like Milky Queen because she does not want to hurt their chances, I think Connor also knows who has applied for HoloEN Gen 2. As much as he says his views on vtubers has not changed he sniffs around them a lot.

To sub on twitch, first follow the channel

then click on the subscribe button. then ya get this...

and if ya have amazon prime, you get a free non reoccurring monthly T1 sub to use. else you choose what tier you want to subscribe at and....

so.. paypal, credit card, etc....

so if you use your prime sub, you have to manually resub every month. else it auto renews. and twitch will notify you when you have a sub expiring
It will also let you know if someone gifts you a sub

So what if you can't do everything you want at work? That's the case for every job ever.

If you work at SquareEnix, of course you only have little to nothing to say about how the game should be like. You have to code everything as you're told.
Of course if you become an independent game developer instead, you can make the game however you want.
But does "exposing" that random employee A at SquareEnix had a great idea but wasn't taken seriously by the higher ups really ruin the enjoyment you have when playing games from SquareEnix? I would say no.

In the end everybody has the choice on what they want to do and who they want to work for.

And to be fair the rules in Hololive are super light and the freedom they give to their idols is incredible. There are tons of worse idol companies.
Hololive actually does allow collabs with other Vtubers outside Hololive.
Tamaki Inuyama did collabs with almost all of them for example (too many to link here).

After all we don't go to Netflix or HBOMax expecting Porn as part of the service they have rules and guidelines to follow. So Hololive having rules or limits should not be seen as less than indies just a different service all together.

Using SquareEnix is intereting, as fans we to hate on the top level excutives for not porting a game to our favorite platforms. Hating on Nintendo's stupid choices has become part of being a fanboy.
