wait wha: Yu-Gi-Oh Milennium Duels now on XBLA

I was considering getting this but haven't played a Yugioh game in a decade, whoever has it tell us if its worth getting or not.

King of Games, am I right?

Thank god for XBLA trials. Time to test it out and probably be disappointed when this game doesn't have fucking card shop

I feel like the game became crap once 5D's came out. I was playing online with some random dude and he was able to summon 3 monsters with over 3000 attack points on the first turn through synchro summoning and all that nonsense. It was absolutely ridiculous.

Yu-Gi-Oh as a game is pretty broken, so it has become quite the norm.

Allllrighty. Played what I can of the trial.

The single player mode is set up by different points in the series' different arcs/seasons or whatever. IE. YGO > GX > 5Ds > Zexal. Each story has 4 different tiered ladder modes that have four matches each. I would assume with the bracket provided (which started with Tea Gardner) get's harder with every match played. Win or lose, you still earn cards for your deck that you can build.

There is no card shopping. If the game HAD a card shop system, the grind to get better cards would be MUCH more tolerable. Having in-game booster packs/specific decks would be much better than this random 'by chance' card bullshit.

The AI is admittedly still as hard and annoying as ever. Different deck sets that can easily outmatch the ass-tier cards you're given.

It seems as if nothing has changed from Decade Duels to this, so I'm gonna say

No, don't buy this fucking game.

Can you zoom in on your cards really big now? Last time around, you couldn't really read the cards well. I'[m a casual card game player who likes to view the card art and gets giddy about what he sees drawn on the cards. Its important to some of us to be able make out just what the fuck is on there in the art and in the text on the card itself.

The whole point of the game is to abuse special summons to get past the stinky "1 summon per turn" thing. It didn't start off that way, but it's certainly how it is now, which is a-okay by me.
No, far more grevious is that EVERYTHING IS DRAGONS. I think like 90% of the cards are dragons. It's ridiculous. A little variety wouldn't hurt.

Is the game like the GBA/DS games where you can get every single card up to the release of the game? (or pretty much every single card)

EDIT: And it's kinda weird that this game is coming out now when there's a new series starting in just a few months. Maybe they're trying to build hype for Arc-V?

Never heard anything about this until now. But it probably has the same problems the other one had so I think I'll pass.

Yep, that's what I hated most about the last one. Ridiculous to just get random cards when there's like thousands of them by now.

so, it seems they have powered down the(card spoilers)
winged dragon of ra
you no longer
get it's attack equal to those you sacrificed.
