Transliteration error. The Japanese title literally translates to The Wanderer and the Giant.Reilly said:I thought it was Wanda?
If it were "wanderer," don't you think it would at least end in a long vowel? "Wandaa" instead of "wanda."SKOPE said:Transliteration error. The Japanese title literally translates to The Wanderer and the Giant.
It's still Shadow of the Colossus in the West.

SnowWolf said:The game looked so horrible at E3 (Graphically). It's not really a problem with the game, just with the widescreen TVs that distorted the game and made it look terrible.
Bebpo said:Note that the Japanese version was delayed from 9/8->10/2- and the US date is just the generic 9/2005. So the US version may be delayed until october too.
Ancestor_of_Erdrick said:I KNOW I read somewhere yesterday (here?) that the U.S. release date was 9/20, the same day as Everyone Loves Katamari. Who knows though. Unless you're suggesting the delay happened between then and now. Not trying to argue or anything, just curious.

For what it's worth, I've played the E3 demo and for me it was the game of the show (you know how much I loved Ico, and I know how much you loved it so it could mean you'd like Colossus too). There were some nagging technical issues, but for a game like this, I just didn't care much about them. Overal feeling of climbing on that colossus was very overwhelming and it felt very organic, for the lack of better word. In the sense of giving you some kind of never before seen experience, I thought the game felt more next-gen than any actual next gen game playable on the show...I don't feel like bringing the media blackout club thread back from the dead, so I'll just ask here: has this game been getting positive impressions? I've steered clear of media since that first day it was announced.

Don't get me wrong, there were some people here who complained about those technical issues, and whatnot, but there were also people who were flaberghasted by it, just like myself.
