Collectible minis, so, like Amiibos or Skylanders? The minatures/figurines themselves will look good on streamer's gaming shelves regardless if they actually play the game.

O my god that video is the cringiest shit I've ever seen. Are they talking to children? Because they're behaving like children.

I hate you so much, Blizzard.

Wow that video was cringe. I actually would love a decent tower defense warcraft game, but not like this.... I played so much TD warcraft 3 customs back in the day

Blizzard: What do Warcraft fans want to play on their phones?
Fans: Warcraft 3 and Pet Battles!
Blizzard: Gacha games?
Fans: NO!
Blizzard: Gacha Games it is!

Announcement video was probably the cringiest thing I've ever seen.

Does no one at Blizzard actually have any awareness about anything anymore? Did no one internally go "Hey, this way of presenting our new game is probably not going to go over well with our core fanbase, let's try something more serious."?

Just looks like a shitty tower defense game? Ok. Not sure what Blizzard is thinking with this. It will probably be fun for a couple of hours but this is no Hearthstone that will make billions.

I wonder if this is developed by Blizzard or King? Since King already made a Crash Bandicoot mobile game.

Not in the market for this but to each their own.

This is a mobile game through and through, not targeting the core fanbase (unless you mean Battlegrounds / Mercenaries players).

The people that watch a live stream reveal of a Blizzard game are going to be the core fanbase of Blizzard games so obviously you should cater your presentation style to what will vibe with that audience, even if the game is a casual game. Casual gamers that only play Candy Crush, Clash of Clans etc are not tuning into this stream in the first place.

The decision makers who thought it would be good to hype a reveal of a mobile game are the same ones that thought it would be good to end the Blizzcon keynote with a Diablo mobile title.

Blizzard... you used to be cool. You've changed.

Yes, and the way they announced Diablo Immortal is just another example of how out of touch their PR people are with their core audience. I think the entire debacle around the Diablo Immortal announcement could've been salvaged by just announcing Diablo IV at the same time and pitching Diablo Immortal as a smaller thing to tide people over in the meantime. Like literally just show a logo that says "DIABLO IV" to end things off and they could've avoided much of the PR hit stuff like "Do you guys not have phones?" and "Is this an April Fools Joke?".

Is 'Arclight' a brand or genre or something else I'm missing? Seems like a weird word to include in the product's title.

They need to ban certain developers from appearing on videos like this. Just stop. You're not funny, you have no charisma and 99% of the time not even that pleasing to look at.

It's somehow a lot worse that what I was expecting, I honestly don't know how that is even possible. Probably a massive success as well, just to piss me off.

Yeah that's what I'm coming away with here.

Old Blizzard would drop game announcements without any fluff and that was enough to generate buzz and excitement. Now they have these fancy overproduced reveals that basically do nothing because their current products are soulless and hacky.

Are these the two most suitable individuals they had working on Blizzard to present a new game? Completely insane, it makes it look like they are doing it on purpose to take the piss.

It's funny, as this will make millions. No one here likes it, but that doesn't mean there's not a market for it. Open your minds, the lot of you don't speak for the majority of the world..

On one hand, I am not a fan of this at all in any way. On the other hand, this game isn't intended for me in the slightest. So is it trash? Yeah. Does trash makes lots of money? Also yeah.

Blizzard sold their soul, at knife point from Bobby Kottick, a long time ago. The new WoW expansion has me hopeful and I like what I've seen of Diablo 4 so far, but everything else is just a fucking shame.
