I was looking for that clip about the souls for the hatred in video games thread when I bumped into a video about this game being back. I couldn't believe it!! I've been waiting for this for so long… This game is a nightmare to emulate even with a Win98 emulator and I gave up until someone decided to port it to modern hardware. One of the most atmospheric RTS ever and one of the few ways to find Warhammer Fantasy Battles fun.

Man, you're making me want to play it again, running over the final boss with a steam tank is some of my favourite gaming memories of all time...

It was Shadow of the Hornet Rat! Someone presumably very handsome even made a thread about why the Hornet Rat and not this one.

The escalating power of gathering more and more war machines and units to your rooster is one of the best things of the game. And find the objects in the scenery!!

The Spanish dub was so funny as well…

On PC you paused the game and give orders while sipping tea. Easy peasy. I can't stand RTS but this was one of the first that let you pause and think.

Edit: of course PC gaming was going to be a nightmare. There is no Pause key in the Microsoft ™ Bluetooth ™ Keyboard ™ for ™ Windows ™. Because why would it be? And there is no native remap either. Jesus, do I hate PCs…

Edit 2: the game never had pause. I'm old trash and I forget things.
