Warhorse sending out review codes for KCD2 a month ahead of release

Damn. They must be really confident with the game even without the day 1 patch. Gonna play this day 1 on the Pro. I really hope the console versions are good especially the Pro version and the PSSR

A month to get your interview with a totally legit historian with no bias ready to start a campaign against the game for not having black people.

Wow, that's feeling confident. I am really looking forward to the game and at the same time I fear for my poor 3080Ti! 😅

So what kind of game is this? I never played the first game.
A realistic take on a medieval first-person RPG set in Bohemia in the 13th century. By "realistic", I mean no magic, no giant sword the size of a horse, no bombastic combat with insane combos. You need to eat, sleep, and keep yourself hydrated. Basically, a medieval knight simulator.

It has many historical characters and events as well.

Insanely awesome move by these guys. I already know the game will be great in terms of quality, but I'm also keeping my fingers crossed that it will do well in terms of sales.

I hope 2025 will mark the end of this stupid culture war in gaming, and a succes for Kingdom Come 2, along the inevitable failures of games like Assassin's Creed Shadow and Avowed would really help with that.

Plus, it's going to be fun seeing Vavra troll any "journalist" that will inevitably decry the lack of black people in the game.

Very cool to see they are sending it out so early. Hopefully that means confidence in technical state of the game and thus no STALKER2-like shitshow of a launch.

It's a FPS set in medieval Europe somewhere.
My country is not "somewhere", asshole

/jk

And it is not an FPS either :p

Historical open world RPG. Like Skyrim, but without dragons and shit, and better in every way (game mechanics, story, quest design, immersion).

It's a very hardcore, narrative driven first person medieval RPG

I've this feeling that this game will sell gangbusters on Steam and some people will still act like it's some mystery success story that came out of nowhere.

Going to pick the first game up this year. My backlog says no, but everything about it screams yes. I'll even put aside the Marmite combat.

I guess there's no hope/chance for the console version getting a 60fps update between now and when the sequel releases, so might as well start playing.

Got it for one of the many fire-sales it went on, $3.99 for the 'complete' version.

Peoples have already answered a lot to you on it

but the quests are simply something else

You get drunk with a priest, fight the local enforcement, ring the bells at night, priest vomits from tower, you fuck a beautiful lady, you make sheep sounds in the field, you want the sunrise. Then hungover you go make a sermon at the church because the fucker wants to vomit every 2 minutes.

There's nothing like it.

The dialogue was hilarious in the first one. The sequel looks like a much more polished, refined and bigger budget game than the first one. Huge jump in quality in the real time cutscenes too

Just a reminder. This KCD 2 story trailer came out last month. It looks absolutely fantastic and the cutscenes looks so good

No idea where the praise is coming considering the first was just ok with some questionable abysmal writing for a lot of quests/main story as well as the fact that the gameplay was just not fun at all.
