Ubisoft tease picture of Sam Fisher ahead if SGF

There is literally nothing Ubisoft can do with this franchise at this point that would be a net positive. They don't have the balls to do something interesting or actually make a proper stealth game again.

I think already announced some mobile garbage didn't they? This doesn't look like any Splinter Cell I've played.

Fuck this is depressing.

More remakes

Model doesn't look cutting edge so it's a remaster I guess.

If it's a remaster of one of the first XBOX Splinter Cell(s) then it's the best possible scenario.

A Splinter Cell remaster the same year as Oblivion Remaster??
It will be a remaster of conviction and thats it. A game you can get on Xbox right now, and imo the worst in the series. It won't be the OG trilogy the first two delisted unless you own the disks on console

My guess is it'll either be a remake for part 1, shitty new remasters with barely effort made, or a new entry that's a far departure from the originals.

The only winning scenario is option 1.
They announced some time ago to be working in a remake of Splinter Cell

That's all I want from Ubisoft anymore is a well done Remaster of the first game. Of course the other titles are welcome too.

Correct. Timestamped (cropped differently) or it's from a similar scene.

Wow, mine was just a wild guess from the shape based on his face with Goggles on.
I was pretty certain but thanks for the confirmation 😃

A simple remaster of the first 3 games that'd run on modern hardware (with functioning mercenaries vs spies mode) is the best possible scenario.

They lost the ability to make new ones long ago.

remember how the Prince of persia (ps2) remake was meant to be visually stunning and amazing, then it turned out it was Ubi india and the game looked rancid and has all but been shit-canned.

I'm expecting a similar situation with this.

would loved to be proven wrong, the stealth genre is painfully absent currently.

Redemption actually look cool.....albeit very derivative of the times.
Ubi Indias game was never gonna see the light of day.

This game is being handled by Montreal.

SplinterCell in Snowdrop or Anvil.........uuuufff chefs kiss.
Im gonna guess Snowdrop cuz theyve already mastered lots of shadow casting lights with that engine.

Well i hope what you are saying all ends up being true, because i'd genuinely love SC to be back on the scene properly and not some dumbass mobile thing like we have gotten before.

I certainly hope it's not Conviction, not the worst but far from the best SC.

If it really is Pandora Tomorrow and they don't completely fuck it up that's gonna be the first Day 1 Ubisoft game for me since Mario + Rabbids.

Those games were very advanced with lighting, I wonder is the remake will set the bar again

If its mobile or a skin for some other game, im gonna be so pissed.

I loved Conviction when it came out because of the time and place and the general fatigue of the franchise.

that being said it's not a good splinter cell game, same as how BotW and TotK aren't good Zelda games.

I'd love a James Bond or Mission impossible game in the style of Conviction though, it was a great action game.

Love how some of you act like clairvoyant game designers because Ubisoft dared to nod at the OG character design. Have any of you even looked at the remake concept art?

The image description says it's from Chaos Theory...
Yeah, it literally says it in the ALT description on the Twitter post.

"Close-up of Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, showing a stern expression with focused eyes, short dark hair, and a rugged beard, set against a blurred high-tech background. He's locked in."
