Satoru Iwata let slip today that Nintendo, in association with Intelligent Systems, are working on a new iteration of the hugely-successful and critically acclaimed Wario Ware series. Codenamed Wario Ware Revolution, the new game's motto is "Touch, twist AND press", suggesting that the title will combine elements from both recent additions to the series, Mawaru and Sawaru (or Touched! and Twisted! in the US) and the GBA original.

"We are very excited to be continuing work on such a great series" said Iwata, hinting that there would be some "wonderful surprises" for the Revolution version.

One can only wonder exactly what he's referring to, but given the series' constant pilfering from Nintendo's history, can we expect to be playing 3-second versions of some of the big N's classic N64 and GameCube titles? Let's hope so.

You're right, it's a bit worse. But take away the blown-up scanned look, and it's pretty much the same.

If Nintendo is going to do a Wario Ware for Revolution launch they must do microgames in 3D and compatible with the camera that the system is supposed to be equipped.

This title sounds like Wario's gone off the deep end and started his own communist movement.

The intro cinematic will be a decked out Wario saying: "The revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall but to do so you have to touch, twist, and press it. Viva la Revolucion!"

Yeah, that's Pokemon XD. And, given that the character looks exactly the same though, I'd say the scan in this thread is probably real.

Don't see what's wrong with that screen though. Aside from the fact that it's not cell shaded anyway.
