Warrior Within? Worth a purchase?

There were a few titles last holiday that I didn't have the cash for, Warrior Within being one of them. Just curious if you guys think it's worth the purchase -- for the record, I'll be playing this on GameCube. I played the original and really liked it, but the reviews for the second one just haven't been as good.

To make answering the question easier, should I invest my time in Viewtiful Joe 2 or Baten Kaitos instead?

It's a good game... I would not ask this here because everyone is mad at Ubi for making the character more "angst". GAFers go a bit overboard sometimes with anti-hype.

Good game with many bugs.

But the dialogue is horrendous and the fighting engine is a big clunky and buggy mess.

The platforming however, is top notch.

I'd like to say that PoP WW is a better game than the original. And that might be somewhat true in the gameplay department.

But I can't fucking tolerate WW. I like SoT. Bought it. Played it through 2x, from beginning to end. The horrendous combat is still horrendous, only now the music and art style are AS horrendous.

Argh. What frustration.

In addition to the aforementioned problems, there's a lot of backtracking involved, not just from place to place but between past and present.

It's all too easy to get confused as to where you need to go.

That being said, I'm still slogging through it with the help of a guide.

Run the hell away from this trainwreck.

Serioulsy, the Sands of Time is the better game, which becomes painfully obvious about 5 minutes into the game.

'Have you seen the new Prince of Perisa, dere? He's all badass now not like the wimp in the first one' - Some guy at work. Ubisoft nailed the image change.
