I can't remember if I dreamed this up or if it was was real. I maybe it was a mini-series or a show that got canceled. He lived in a bad neighborhood and he was constantly having to deal with thugs. It was like Boyz in the Hood turn into a TV series.

It was called South Central. Been so long since i thought of that show. I mainly remember it because on one of the episodes, he's on the bus with his friend, and some thugs get on and are about to steal his shoes, and then his boy jumps out the bus window. It was a pretty forgettable show mostly.

IDAWTP It was a great show that actually covered serious social issues and didn't do it in a melodramatic or sitcommy way. Granted it was kind of riding the coat-tails of the Boyz n the Hood/Menace II Society growing-up-in-the-hood genre, but for what they had to work with, it was a well made show.

One of the worst things regarding the show was that it was on about the same time as Party of Five was on and they were both about to be cancelled and what did the network do? Kept the show with the white folks. The man once again sticks it to the brothers.

This show was just awesome, we used to love this show and Roc.(oh Roc )

I have all the episodes on tape too, considering the way they just trashed the show like they did I'm glad I did tape all the ones that came on. The show was such an excellent mix of comedy and drama and all the characters were awesome. It's good stuff like this and Roc, that just makes me want to vomit when I see the horrible shit that's on UPN now.
