I've heard this song countless times since its release, but this lyric always strikes a chord with me:

"Have I ever asked for much?
The only thing that I want is your love."



I don't know if it's feeling empathetic to her plea that she wants nothing more than his love. I just think it's a powerful lyric.

Said it before and will say it again, someone like you is about a stalker girl who turns up at her exes place after hearing he is married

Basically its about a woman who goes to her ex boyfriends house without invitation, expresses surprise at seeing he is married. She then tells him she thought he would feel the same as her "That its not over for me". Then she goes on to (im sure sarcastically) tell him she wishes the best for the two of them before ending the conversation by saying she will find someone just like him.

It's a catchy song but she is clearly unstable and you cant blame the guy for being put off that an ex turns up at his house
